Service and server were excellent. However.... I am sorry to have to have to write this.. but honesty is what I am giving here. This is our third year coming here for Turkey Day. For the money...there are other choices. Because of our experience tonight.. we are in search of a new place to celebrate the holiday. It was a factory experience. The bread basket- little to no flavors. The turkey was dry, the chicken was salty. I am from Maryland- who puts corn in the stuffing? The veggies were rock hard. The desserts -lacked apples in the apple pie. The food was put out very systematically. We were barely finished the first course when the main dish appeared. All in all- the dishes lacked flavor, care and effort. Someone in the kitchen needs to change- taste the food being put out and think more creatively.

Since there was no way to guarantee indoor seating, I had to make a reservation for the only available seating option: outdoors. Late November this is chancy I knew, but I figured they would enclose the patio and heat it properly if we ended up there. I was wrong. While many people were seated indoors, this year we were unlucky and were given a table outside. There were heaters installed but about half of them were not turned and the tarps that covered the place were made of a mesh material that let the cold air right through. Each time the door opened, which happened a lot when waiters and customers were going and coming, the cold draft hit us directly. On the plus side, the food was excellent, our server was wonderful so we didn’t complain. Next year, if Founding Farmers offer thanksgiving meal, please use better insulated covers for the patio and use a double door to block the cold draft. We’d be happy to give it a try again if they do.

There were 6 of us for Thanksgiving dinner. Reservation was made two months prior, and although the crowd was large waiting, we were seated timely on the upper level. Ambience was nice, although a bit noisy. Waiter was attentive. Food was served warm with a nice selection of entrees for the limited three course menu. The presentation was appealing and there was a lot of food, we took some to go boxes from dinner along with our dessert selections.

My in-laws were visiting from overseas. We didn't want to do a lot of cooking for a small group, but also wanted to ensure they got to try an authentic Thanksgiving meal. Founding Farmers was a great choice! The food was delicious and our server, Jacob, was superb. Thank you!

The biggest issue is that we were only 3rd in line to check in (there were two couples ahead of us), and it took us over 15 minutes to talk to the host. I actually timed it. There were three people at the host station. One of the women saw the line behind me, saw my frustration and checked us in.
Founding Farmers MD: PotomacResponded 4 days ago
Thank you for sharing your feedback, Eric. We apologize for the delay in being checked in and understand your frustration. We're glad the team addressed it and got you settled, but we’ll work on improving our efficiency at the host station to ensure a smoother experience next time. We hope to welcome you back soon! -Najjah
