The Fox & Grapes is between two vibrant cities and combines a mix of good food and a large selection of draught products and spirits. Food is served daily from 12noon–8pm. It is an excellent place for all the family to dine or just to relax and have a few drinks. We now have a private dining area that sits up to 10 guests, this can also be used as a private meeting area. We have a large beer garden to the rear. Children are welcome, we have activities and games to keep them busy.

Come down and join us, and try it for yourself.

We are situated on the busy A64 (York Road), just seven miles from Leeds City Centre.

Nice. Staff. Good table. Awful tasteless food. Very reasonable price but not when we left almost a plateful of food each.

Really enjoyed the whole experience and we arrived early but it was not a problem and food and service was really good will definitely be going back. Thankyou.

Good choice on wide ranging menu to suit all tastes. Food well and freshly prepared, staff courteous and friendly but not obsequious. Able to change items to suit taste e.g. extra bacon and hash brown to replace sausages. The place is clean, well maintained and has a mix of furniture plus a large outdoor garden area with large table etc. Now a firm favourite for my friends and I.

The reviews looked great but this was not for us. Sorry We ordered 2 portions Olives and Bread as a sharing starter. We received 2 bowls of olives (good enough) 2 small pots of olive oil (no balsamic or other dip just olive oil) with 1.5 slices of a standard white loaf. It wasn’t the amount of bread but the type of bread was laughable, it was the type of bread you’d expect to have been served only with fish and chips. It was certainly not a dipping bread or accompaniment for olives and definitely not a dipping bread. Sunday Lunch (roast sirloin of beef) was 2 crinkly thin slices of what I can only describe as cheap packet beef that was more fat than meat but then it was so wafer thin it was hard to tell. Just awful. The vegetables were ok but over cooked (but this may suit some) they varied by plate so don’t rely on the menu (there were 4 of us having the same) The Yorkshire pudding and toast potato’s were good. I ordered the Eton Mess for dessert thinking this couldn’t be hard to get right. But this came and was basically 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream (as scoops) over loaded with squirted cream on top with maybe 1 or 2 small strawberries chopped in half on top and a small piece (I think) of meringue. It tasted pleasant enough if you like ice cream and cream but it most certainly was not an Eton Mess. We put it down to them maybe having no chefs on the day or illnesses / absence Overall disappointing unfortunately and a shame as we did have higher hopes for local pub food.
