The Freelance Café & Wine Bar is of the one of the founding restaurants of Piermont’s now bountiful selection of eclectic spots to wine and dine in this historic and charming village by the Hudson River.

The Freelance menu offerings consist of Small Plates, Large Plates, and Daily Specials. The menu remains a touchstone for Modern American Cuisine as informed and inspired by the French Bistro, the Italian Trattoria, the Japanese Izakaya and ever more tastefully global inspiration. We offer a long list of favorite dishes whether that’s French Onion Soup, Thai Pasta, Braised Short Ribs or Classic Crème Brulee, as well as an inspiring selection of wines by the glass or bottle.     We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the service was attentive without being overbearing. The food was beautifully prepared and tastefully plated. The noise level was the only thing that detracted from a wonderful evening as it is a small place and it was packed with full tables with people trying to talk to one another.i had trouble hearing my boyfriend across the table from me! We will definitely go back at a less crowded time!

    Always a great experience From the wonderful service by MeMo, Joe and team to the outstanding food Fantastic Margarita Crisp Green Apple salad was a nice starter. Short Ribs were out of this world Cod ! Mmmmm!

    This was our first time and we’ll be going back real soon with friends to show them the gem we found. Service was tops, food exquisite, we usually get grilled octopus when available, this was the best we ever had. Drinks a little pricey but were delicious. Can’t wait to go back.     Always have a delicious dinner. Coconut shrimp is a favorite appetizer. We all had different dinners and enjoyed each one. From short ribs, salmon, duck and mussels, the dinners were enjoyed by us all. Left room for the blueberry cobbler. Really yummy!
