The meal was good. Loved the pretzel appetizer. Nice atmosphere. Service could have been quicker, but we were there at a busy time. We still got to our show with no problem. Definitely worth a try!

We really enjoyed our first time at Friars Table. The spinach and cheese clafouti was fantastic and I really enjoyed the rose beignets. I really appreciate the mocktail menu and hope to see it expanded further. I didn’t realize that sea bream was a whole fish from the description but it was very good, just kind of freaked one of our dinner companions. I appreciate chef stopping by out table and I can’t wait to come back again.

My wife and I enjoyed dinner before a Playhouse Square show recently. I had the salmon, and my wife had the rigatoni, and both were excellent. The cocktails were also very good, as was their house wine (we had the Pinot Noir). The service was a little spotty but hopefully will get better as time goes on.

It was a wonderful experience. It’s nice to see the Cowell and Hubbard space utilized again. We will be going back.

My wife, young daughter, and I really enjoyed our first experience here. When Chef says “simple food,” he is being sincere, but it is absolutely delicious. My favorite of our many items was the barley soup and roasted beets. The selection of after-dinner digestifs was interesting and I thoroughly enjoyed the Benedictine. Ambience was so soothing and delightful A slightly broader variety of background music might be welcome - we initially enjoyed the chill, somewhat somber contemporary music, but mixing it with some more positive sounds would be great. We are thrilled that the space is active again and will return!

This was our second visit to The Friars’ Table and once again it was outstanding. Service is friendly and on point. We highly recommend everything we’ve tried- Smoked White Fish Dip, Beef Stew, Pissaladiere, Stewed Beans, Pea Soup and the salads have all been delicious. The prices are extremely reasonable and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
