The Friends Lake Inn restaurant offers their guests two different choices for their dining experience. The man dining room creates a fine dining experience. Featuring organically grown and locally sourced ingredients, the seasonal menu might include a starter including a pan seared foie gras. For the entree, a diner at Friends Lake Inn can choose from a spring cioppino made with sea scallops, Maine lobster and mussels. For a more casual experience, there is the Tap Room. Here guests will find an Adirondack rabbit stew or a Sheppard's pie to their liking. The Friends Lake Inn Tap Room features regional microbrews to compliment its menu. There are also occasional "beer pairing events," which includes five courses of food paired with the perfect microbrew.

Was really disappointed, our waiter was great but it took forever for our food and when we did get it it was not as good as we have had in the past

The lobster bisque and turkey and rabbit stew were so delicious! Our meal wasn't rushed-the roses, lit fire, and candles added to the ambiance. Our servers were friendly and profession. It was a perfect evening.

The Inn is secluded and very well maintained. The rooms are spotless and incredibly comfortable. The entire staff seemed to go out of their way to make out stay as relaxing as possible. Although it has to charming feel of a B&B or lodge, it is equipped better than a top tier hotel with far better service and unmatched privacy. Although it's not a massive resort we managed to spend an entire long weekend at the inn and never see any other guests aside from in the dining room. The chef went far out of his way to accommodate my partner's food allergies and the quality and taste did not suffer in the least. I would highly recommend the Inn for a romantic getaway, special occasion or just a wonderful night of dining. Their wine cellar is well stocked and they have something for all tastes. We will be making this spot an annual get away and visit from time to time for dinner. We have already recommended it to several friends and excpect to hear similar reviews from their stay. If you are on the fence, there is no need. The Inn is more than you will expect and all you desire. Enjoy!!! We did.

We had reservations for 7:30, arrived early, checked in with the hostess and went to the bar to enjoy a cocktail. Busy in the bar and took a while for the bartender to take our order as he was serving tables in the bar area. Our cocktails were excellent. Went to be seated in the dining room and sat at a table for 2 in front of the fireplace (which was not on). The waiter appeared and told us the specials and gave us a wine list and then became fairly busy serving other guests. The dining room was not at capacity and other guests who were seated after us were being waited on prior to our waiter returning. When the wine we ordered arrived I noticed it was not the bottle we had chosen before he opened it. The waiter eventually brought our second choice. Outstanding selection of wines although we were cautioned that not all were necessarily available. At this point my husband was becoming somewhat anxious and was feeling like we were being ignored. Once our wine was opened, we both ordered Lobster bisque as an appetizer which was great. Curiously it had a lobster ravioli as the lobster meat for the dish. I ordered the seafood ciopiano which was served out of half an acorn squash shell along with some delicious risotto. The meal was excellent! My husband ordered the NY Strip steak special which was accompanied by shrimp which he also really enjoyed. For dessert we ordered the banana's flambé which we loved. We will definitely return, hopefully they will increase their number of wait staff. The wine, appetizer, main course and dessert were excellent!

My wife and I recently got married and spent our honeymoon at Friends Lake Inn! This place is amazing, the food, the atmosphere, the people, everything was perfect! We will be telling everyone we can about our experiences at Friends Lake and are already looking to go back for our anniversary. The entire 3 days that we were there we did not have a meal that we didn't like. Everything was cooked to perfection and entrees like the wild boar pulled pork burger and the venison chop were out of this world!

Beautiful room, very classic fine dining experience. Filet was perfect. Duck was wonderful, as were all the sides. Wine list as large as a phone book. Bananas Foster made tableside was a real old-school treat! Service was outstanding.

Every dish was delicious. Mixed Green salads, bean appetizer and ravioli appetizer were devoured. Entrees of seafood cioppino and filet mignon were perfect. Not a drop left on anyone's plate. I only wish I'd had room for dessert!
