In 1974, George and his wife Joan ventured out to what was then considered the country. They found the perfect location on the shores of Diamond Lake. A great deal has changed since then, but our commitment to service and great food hasn’t. We welcome you to visit and see what’s new. It’s the Gale Street you love and remember with a more comfortable and updated atmosphere.     We were thinking the food would be the same as the Gale Street Inn in the city but not at all. The ribs which they are known for were not half as good as in the city. The rest of the food was very good and a friend had one of there specials which he said was excellent. I would go back just not for ribs!

    Good food and friendly, excellent service. Very pleasant dining room with wall to wall windows and a big fireplace. Onion soup and soup of the day tasty and served hot. Fresh salads. My wedge salad was good but overdressed. I will ask for dressing on the side next time. Lamb lollipops meaty and well prepared, an especially good value I thought. My companions ordered ribs. We were there on a week night and it was quiet, can't say about the noise levels when the restaurant is full.

    We were extremely thankful for the window seating sunset view. Overall, a great experience. Service, food, environment. This place is definitely a little on the pricier side, but the food was excellent and filling and worth it if you’re looking for nicer place for dinner.

    Although the restaurant itself and Manager were nice, the food/drinks were not worth the price we paid. Our waitress was not attentive throughout our time there and did not bring some of our drinks until we were almost ready to leave. The bussers were polite and around more often to check on our table. We were there to celebrate a friend's Birthday/Anniversary in which we were provided two desserts for free. That was unexpected and very nice.

    What a wonderful experience. Our waiter Mario, was stupendous. He was knowledgeable, attentive and courteous. They have an excellent staff. Food was delicious. The lakeside view was beautiful.
