Gene and Georgetti is Chicago's original steakhouse since 1941. This family-owned establishment housed in Chicago's third oldest building serves the finest prime-aged steaks and chops, pastas, & signature dishes invented here such as The Garbage Salad and Chicken alla Joe. Our curated wine list originates from our roots in Lucca, Tuscany, Italy - we concentrate on Italian varietals that complement our classic Italian steakhouse menu.

Securely processed credit card info is required to secure a reservation. No-shows or cancellations within 48 hrs will be charged $25 pp.
As a reminder we do have a 15 minute grace period to honor your reservation, past that time your reservation will be forfeit.
Valet parking after 3pm is $15 cash.
Our dress code is Business Casual- you never know who you might see at G & G!
Gene & Georgetti can accommodate your party of up to 100. .
Our restaurant has two floors ,and there is no elevator ,please let us know if you require special accommodation.

    This is the third time we’ve dined there since the summer. Last night was very crowded. Experience was disappointing. We waited 31 minutes before our drink order was taken. I had to go find a waiter to assist us. No one came to the table after bringing water for 31 minutes. Two out of the 4 entrees were cold. Only compensated for 1 entree. Waiter was pleasant and manager did approach us to apologize which we appreciated. However, service and food was not up to par. Not at all the experience we had the past two visits

    Professional service with the best Oscar-style steak I've eaten. Loaded with crab. Overall fantastic experience. This place still has it!

    Outstanding!!! Caesar salad, filet medium rare and onion rings spot on. Was not disappointed in 2006 and 20 years later still in the top tier!

    There is a reason that G & G has been around for 80 years. Consistency! Top notch service, the feel of an old NY Italian steakhouse, professional staff and good food. Sure, Chicago has many outstanding steakhouses - but none can beat the classic charm of G &Gs.

    Our family was celebrating a milestone event and the birthday girl wanted Gene and Georgetti. The wait staff was great, including their trainee! The food was amazing and the “at home” environment made for a wonderful experience had by all. We’ll be back. Thanks, G&G for making this a memorable visit.
