Gene and Georgetti is Chicago's original steakhouse since 1941. This family-owned establishment housed in Chicago's third oldest building serves the finest prime-aged steaks and chops, pastas, & signature dishes invented here such as The Garbage Salad and Chicken alla Joe. Our curated wine list originates from our roots in Lucca, Tuscany, Italy - we concentrate on Italian varietals that complement our classic Italian steakhouse menu.

Securely processed credit card info is required to secure a reservation. No-shows or cancellations within 48 hrs will be charged $25 pp.
As a reminder we do have a 15 minute grace period to honor your reservation, past that time your reservation will be forfeit.

Valet parking after 3pm is $15 cash.

Our dress code is Smart Business/Cocktail Chic - you never know who you might see at G & G!

Gene & Georgetti can accommodate your party of up to 100.

    I chose Gene and Georgetti's expecting to have liver, but it is no longer on the menu. Happily surprised by the quality of the pasta--had gnocchi at the restaurant and brought the wide noodle pasta home, for lunch next day. Absolutely the most interesting I have had anywhere!

    You can’t beat an 83 year legacy. Best steakhouse in Chicago! Did I mention pasta? Best cacio e pepe on this side of the Atlantic. Never a bad meal and service continues to impress!

    On our recent trip to Chicago , It was recommended that we try Gene & Georgetti’s . It was beyond anything we had expected. Antonio our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and the entire experience was over the top from the appetizers to the limoncello and everything in be tween. If your in Chicago for dinner and you don’t try this establishment then your missing out!!!

    We shared Cesar salad, sea bass w broccolini& risotto. I had a Negroni & my companion had an old fashioned. Our waiter Jordan was amazing. The atmosphere was cozy and old school. All of our food was solid. The Seabass was excellent as were the drinks. The risotto was pretty good. I would not get it again. I would opt for a steak instead. We had a great meal

    Maybe the best steak dinner ever! The crab cake appetizer was excellent as were the sides of potatoes Vesuvio and broccolini. Extremely generous portions and excellent service. The only item that can be more complete is the wine list which was lacking in any Malbec wines and anything below $100. Overall, excellent!
