Established in May 11th 1993, Gertie's has become a New Farm institution. Smoky mirrors, mosaic tiled floors like a faded Parisian salon with a chilled crowd it's the perfect spot for a civilized drink or three.

    As always, the service, food and atmosphere were fabulous. The cocktails are some of the least expensive but divine! We especially love the Clockwork Orange and Otto!

    Very expensive for what you got. Food service was staggered, forgot chips. Followed chips up with waitress. Waited 15mins. Gave up and left. 2 entree-size dishes and two basic drinks = $85. Outrageous.

    While the service was friendly, drinks were forgotten and incorrect (eg a mocktail Pina Colada came out with rum). The pizza and charcuterie were bland. No still bottled water is available. Prices don't reflect the quality of the food presented.

    It is always a delight visiting this venue. Great memories are always made! Just need to keep the place cooler in the summer time but overall fantasical! Bravo.

    Was excited to go there as I've heard so much good reviews. Meet with smile and warm welcome, sadly that's were it ended. We ordered the Prawn Tostada , Chicken Quesadilla. The Prawn Tostada lacked seasoning , the prawns used were frozen as they was watery and flavourless. I ask for some hot sauce, it wasn't hot sauce. More like watery capsicum puree. The Chicken Quesadilla again lack flavour aswell it was mostly mozzarella not Monterey jack or cheddar. Little other fillings such as roasted capsicum, black beans. Wine was not bad, Overall we will not be going back or recommending Gerties Bar. Tap into better recipes ( taste for seasoning) and buys some hot sauces. Look at Pinterest for presentation ideas. Service was faultless. All the best for the future, with a few tweaks food side will be better. You are a great neighbourhood/ inner-city bar and I hope you stay around for a long time. Regards, Max
