Incredible service from Daniel and the other staff. Porterhouse came luke warm though - I’m still trying to figure out how when it’s cooked at 1800 degrees. And somehow the lobster bisque (while tasty) came sans lobster. Cocktails and appetizers were fantastic, we just expected the $80+ streak to be the highlight.

Amazing Birthday lunch and the food and wine were amazing. Service was first class - by Chis. His knowledge of the food provenance was excellent and he was so attentive. Our first visit to Gibsons and an amazing lunch choice by my wonderful partner Lorna ❤️❤️

It was my dad’s birthday and he drove downtown from the suburbs for dinner because he loves Gibson’s and used to eat their every Monday night with his friends. The food was still great but the service was not good at all. The waiter started off strong and then basically never came back to the table. Plates were not cleared or refreshed throughout. And for dessert instead of asking what we wanted or bringing out a piece of cake that they’re famous for and have brought out every year for birthdays we’ve celebrated there- they brought out a TINY like sauce size bowl with 1 scoop of ice cream and hot fudge. It was very bizarre. And when my mom inquired about why they didn’t do the usual or ask what we wanted the waiter said “you can order something if you want.” And never came back to the table. Ridiculous for $300 meal they couldn’t give my 76 year old father who has been a regular his entire life and knows the staff a piece of cake. This waiter was clearly new but it was not the service or experience Gibson’s is known for. Very disappointing. I’m not sure what was going on last night:

A delicious dinner. I felt a little rushed as the order was brought out quickly, and I should have asked for it in stages. But friendly and no rush to finish the meal.
