   As usual, the food and service was fantastic. Loved the citrus fennel salad and gnocchi cace w Pepe. The drinks are superb!

   The ambience was great, drinks were great. The food was subpar and overpriced. I got a chicken pasta dish that was basically just boiled chicken and boiled pasta with butter. The calamari was also $18 for a few small pieces of squid. Go for the drinks, but be careful to order the right food.

   We had a great time at Gioia! The open kitchen, decor, attached market and rooftop make this an unforgettable place that is a whole experience. Our server was outstanding, and the food hit the spot. I can't wait to come back to try the pizza and the rooftop. My friend said their "cafe martini" was the best they ever had.

   Gioia is fantastic. The food is terrific, the service is first rate, and the overall ambiance is good. It's a little noisy, so if that's a problem then try to get a table in the back on the far side of the room from the bar. Pro tip: they have a parking lot on the side, but it fills up quickly and Wooster Street parking is always problematic, especially on weekends. Consider using uber/lyft/taxi if you're coming from nearby.

   I love Gioia's festive and relaxed atmosphere and unusually delicious food. It's our go-to restaurant in New Haven now! The menu is creative and fun, the drinks are wonderful, and if you have the affogato for dessert, you will be in heaven.

   Overall very good and we would go back for sure. The bucatini the citrus salad and the homemade dessert was excellent. The service was very good and so was the vibe. Only disappointment was the calamari bruschetta which tasted ok but was way overpriced for what it was. Overall…a great experience. Oh and the drinks were very good too.
