This is a lovely restaurant in a nice location. The staff were friendly, however the food service was very slow. We received our drinks and then waited overhalf an hour for our food. During this time no one checked on us or apologised for the wait. The restaurant was possibly half full so we were unsure why the food was taking so long. My husband had a full English which was ample, I had the vegan breakfast which looked a bit lost of the large plate I felt the portion sizes could have been bigger. On both dishes the mushrooms were luke warm and the toast was crispy. We were disappointed as we had read good reviews so were looking forward to a nice brunch. It was OK but we won't be rushing back.

Lovely Sunday lunch served by very enthusiastic attentive server. We had the Sunday roast for 4 and it was very tasty and plenty for us. A nice touch was the provision of a ‘doggy bag’ so that nothing was wasted. The particular advantage for us was that our wives are put off by a stacked plate, so could put on their plate what they wanted from the main bowl. The only feedback we could give is that in our opinion, the midweek food doesn’t leave many options for a ‘light lunch’ such as sandwiches or toasted sandwiches or soup.

Family get together for brunch, which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Great venue in good location - Eastbourne needs more places like this. Staff were professional, polite and attentive. Our food was fresh, nicely presented and tasty. There was a nice vibe and a lot of thought has clearly gone into design and detail. Will definitely be back.

We booked a table for two for lunch today and on arrival while there were staff milling around we were ignored. After at least five minutes, we stopped one of the staff and told her that we had booked.for 1.00pm. She checked the bookings and took us to a table for six, gave us some menus and was not seen again. We waited 20 minutes without seeing any member of staff and at that point decided to leave. As we were leaving a member of staff came up to us and thanked us for our custom so we told her that we had had nothing and would be leaving. All in all very poor and we shall not be returning and would not recommend this restaurant.

We had a coffee at the Glass House recently for the first time and liked the ambience and good service. So we decided to go back a few days later to try out the food. We both had the Glass House breakfast and weren't disappointed. The food arrived promptly and was hot, good quality and well cooked. The staff were all attentive and friendly. We had a table by the window with a sea view, which was lovely. It did get quite noisy, or maybe you could calling the atmosphere "buzzing" and the cups for hot drinks don't have a handle, so picking up our hot drinks was tricky until they had cooled a little. We would have liked the option of a pot of tea rather than a small cup, but these are minor things. We'll definitely go back and enjoyed our time there.

The venue is well laid out super clean and high quality. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food portions were good as was the presentation however the food itself was over seasoned with multiple different flavours resulting in a confused and not particularly pleasant eating experience. I know the restaurant is new and hope the menu matches the venue and price quickly or I fear it won’t be around for long.
