Lovely afternoon at the Glen Eyrie cadtle for High Tea. It was surrounded by a misty, cloudy, and light rain when we arrived. We Sat by a roaring gas fire waiting to be seated, as we arrived a few minutes early. What a wonderful presentation and great selection of teas.

I would highly recommend this for the experience alone. It’s a beautiful property, beautiful castle, and it was really cool seeing other guests dressed in proper tea attire, something I definitely wasn’t expecting. But if you want to go somewhere for the food, I would say pass on this. The food was your typical tea food, mini sandwiches, scones, pastries. The sun-dried tomato quiche was the worst of it all where the sandwich was 10/10 and wish we were able to get more of it. The tea was good but I was hoping it would be so good I’d run over to the gift shop to buy some (I’m such a sucker for that). The $100 bill for the two of us for the amount you got didn’t seem worth it, but if you love experiences like this then I would definitely recommend it.

It was a great day to put on a pretty dress and have proper tea to honor our late mothers.

We originally came only for the tea and arrived about two hours ahead of time. Including the tea we spent about five hours driving the grounds, sitting in the carriage house and wandering the castle as much as allowed. The staff was amazing and made us feel welcome. We learned much of the history and idiosyncrasies of the castle and Glen Eryie overall from an impromptu guide,Bruce. Part of the time we sat and enjoyed the day (it was beautiful) and listened to the birds and the low chattering of other guests doing the same. It was truly peaceful. We are already planning a trip back to actually stay at the castle.

Our family has made it an annual tradition to celebrate Mom's day. It's always been lovely and memorable. The tea service and food has recently improved quite a bit over previous years. The price is not inexpensive but most "teas" are not and the experience is fantastic. The castle is one of a kind. The service is good however our server seemed "stressed". She tried her best to make up for a couple of oversights or mistakes. The "kids meal " option was wonderful for my little granddaughters.

I just had tea here with my dear friend and it was fantastic! I had to request all Gluten Free food items due to having celiac disease and was so pleasantly surprised that I was able to have every “regular” dish just prepared gluten free and it was presented on a separate plate which was great. I didn’t feel like a bother and everything tasted delicious! Only thing I wish is that we were able to pick more than one tea during reservation but nonetheless the tea was delightful. The grounds are also stunning and provide lots to do or just to embrace the warm weather. Thank you Glen Eyrie for a wonderful time!

Our party enjoyed our time at Glen Eyrie for tea, but there were several things we were disappointed by. Firstly they say you get unlimited refills on tea, however all they do is pour more hot water on top of your already used tea bag, so each subsequent pot gets weaker and weaker. Not very professional in my opinion. We were also very disappointed in the food allergy substitutes that we were given for one gluten allergy and one nut allergy. I would absolutely not recommend going if you are gluten free! Instead of baking gluten free items, they simply gave a bowl of filling. The one item that was baked gluten free were the scones, and they were very gummy. And instead of substituting a cake that contained nuts with another dish, we were just given a spoon with frosting on it. Not only were the substitutes incredibly dissatisfying, we also had to pay MORE for those portions!!! The castle is beautiful and there were some tasty teas, but overall non of us will be returning.

Great options of gluten free or vegan. Just wish there was more than one tiny sandwich in the tower because we were still hungry afterward.
