   The service was a bit slow to begin with but then improved and overall a good experience, 2 of the items of food on the menu were not available. The food was a good standard and presented well. There was a lively but comfortable atmosphere and will definitely be back in the future.

   furniture was rickety our table. 3 of our dishes were served on wooden platters which were two small for the meal and looked most unsuitable for the food being served.

   Had a lovely Sunday lunch with friends. Service friendly and prompt. Nice selection of food, not just Sunday roast, reasonably priced. There's an outside seating area with lots of tables with views over countryside that one can eat at when weather decent. Inside there's restaurant and bar areas.

   we arrived it was very busy so had to wait not for long to be shown to our table a lovely welcome our drinks order was taken promptly Even though it was busy our food order was taken quickly It was a new menu so think thats why it was busy had had to wait a while for our food but pleasant surroundings so no problem was worth the wait i had the lamb it just melted in the mouth lovely fresh veg it was delicious my sister had the salmon and said it was delicious the flavours adn the salmon cooked perfect and the pasta very tasty

   Overall we were less than impressed with our experience. 2 people ordered prawn cocktail and they were the smallest we had ever seen, being served in very small dishes. At £9.25 each they were very overpriced. One of the mains was rump steak which was very poorly cooked. Instead of slightly pink it oozed blood which flooded the plate. A side order of pigs in blankets were barely cooked. The staff were very inattentive, definitely not interested if everything was alright. Next to our table was a service bell which was very annoying. Definitely not an experience we would wish to repeat.

    Can't speak highly enough. Service, value for money and food all exceptional. Best steak and ale pie I've ever had. Sunday roasts were plentiful and delicious.
