Approachable sophisticated Pacific Northwest cuisine, simply prepared using the finest regional ingredients and served in a dining room with maritime-inspired design and sweeping views of Elliott Bay.

Goldfinch Tavern is a collaboration between Ethan Stowell and Four Seasons Hotel Seattle. Named for the state bird of Washington, the American Goldfinch.

The upscale tavern pays homage to the city’s pioneer days, when taverns catered to lumberjacks and sailors alike, providing a place for travelers and locals to both socialize and conduct business, all while enjoying drinks and food.

This is one of my favorite places for breakfast/brunch when visiting Seattle. The Eggs Benedict is very good. They also make very good espresso drinks. The view & ambiance are very relaxing, while the service is wonderful. The staff are very friendly, yet professional.

The service was really slow. They were obviously shorthanded. And no manager checked in with us the entire time. Our server was doing the best he could. But it looked like he had 10 tables on his own. There was no one helping him. And like I said, not 1 manager checked in with us the entire time.

Note for anyone wanting reservations on Valentine’s Day. Make sure you know that if it’s a reservation before 5pm you won’t get the Valentine’s Day menu. We made the mistake. Booked a room and reservation for Valentine’s Day. They had a 4:15 opening which we had booked a week in advance. Arrived and about 40 mins in inquired about the actual menu because all we received was the happy hour menu. We were told they wouldn’t serve us the valentines menus because that’s for reservations after 5pm. It was never stated on the reservation. The manager in the restaurant was not pleasant what so ever. Basically told us we should have read the print on the reservation. Well I went back into my reservation and there was nothing about reservations from 5pm on only receive the Valentine’s Day menu. Luckily the manager at the hotel made things right but they really need to look into who they have running the restaurant, he was very unprofessional.

Great setting for a business lunch and the food is always excellent. The turkey burger wrapped in lettuce was an A+.

Worst seared tuna I've ever had. Really surprised, given both Seattle's reputation for seafood and Four Season's reputation for hospitality.

Love the vibe here. Classy but not pretentious, and excellent cocktails. Our server was the perfect combination of attentive but not intrusive. Everyone from valet, doorman, hostess and servers was welcoming and professional. The Goldfinch is perfect for meeting friends or hosting guests and family. I’ll be back soon.

Not great value for the price. Service very slow, ambiance way too loud to chat with friends, food over priced and not great
