Went to brunch, a great selection of the “ordinary” breakfast items as well as some inventive items. Nice drink/cocktail offerings as well. Highly recommend!

The food was delicious. It was well prepared and very good. Presentation was nice. The beef was aged and cooked perfectly. The fish and pasta were both excellent. I have not been to Gorat's for years but will return soon. I was also very moderately priced for the type of meal we got. it was far less expensive than the other fine steakhouses in the area like J Gilbert, Spencers, Flemings or Mahogany. We will return soon.

Wonderful experience celebrating my nephews birthday. Everyone was friendly, available, and helpful. Our server, Greg, was attentive and fun. He explained some of the dishes, so all got exactly what we wanted and had a wonderful evening. The food was beautifully presented and thoughtfully flavored. Can't wait to come back!!

This was the worst food experience possible. We had reservations for Christmas Eve. We realize it was Christmas Eve, but that is not an excuse to serve a meal that no one would actually pay for. We arrived a little early and the parking lot was full. We had to park on the street up the road from the restaurant. We entered the restaurant and were seated immediately. (The reservation was for 7:45; we entered the restaurant at 7:25, so we had to be sitting at our table even before 7:30.) Upon being seated, the waitress informed us that the kitchen was backed up, which was pretty obvious because every single table was taken. We ordered an appetizer, being fried calamari. The served calamari was way overcooked and pretty much consisted of ash. There was no moisture in the dish at all. It was also served with about six burnt French fries and about five or six pieces of octopus, which would be fine it it were also not way overcooked. I would have ordered the prime rib, but there was none, so my wife and I both ordered the same thing, the 12 ounce whisky ribeye, except she ordered hers medium well and I ordered mine medium rare. With our steak, we had a choice of a baked potato or the vegetable of the day, which was broccoli. We both ordered broccoli and a side order of hash browns. We were served our meal at 9:15, so an hour and 45 minutes after we were seated, but that was acceptable. We would have patiently and happily waited for another hour for good food. But what we were served was the biggest disappointment one could have in a restaurant. The broccoli was raw. I asked the server, somewhat sarcastically, whether it was supposed to be that way and she answered that it was not steamed enough and that she would take it off our bill, which she didn't. The steaks were both cold and had been sitting for some time. And both steaks were cooked to the same doneness: both well-done, not even medium well. The two steaks looked identical when cut into.

Great service and food. The bench tables in the bar area are a little tight for family of 4. But other than that is was great.

Our server Ellen was friendly and prompt with service. She was respectful of the conversation at the table, allowing us to enjoy our date night. The Prime Rib, NY Strip were great. I loved that lobster Mac and house cut fries. These went great with our old fashioned and espresso martini. Didn’t save room for d dessert, maybe next time. I can see why this place is a staple in the Omaha dining community. I highly suggest this restaurant.
