   First time back in a year or so, and six of us celebrated a birthday today. Everyone was helpfull, and dinners were great, Great set up, and we will be back sooner!

   The service almost ruined our experience. We saw just one server, and the hostess wouldn’t make eye contact with us, even while setting a table right next to us. After 20 minutes, we flagged down the bartender to take our order. He was very jovial, and saved the day. The farmers breakfast was very good,. The avocado toast was supposed to have micro greens but didn’t. We asked for a side salad instead, and it was yummy. But then we had to wait a long time to get our check, finally flagging down the hostess. If they were understaffed due to an emergency, we would have understood. It this seemed to be normal for them. I really want to like this place, but it’s hard.

   For a 10:30 reservation they took an extremely long time to get to our table and then they were out of coffee cups and told us in a rude tone that coffee would be awhile because they couldn’t keep up with the brewing. Huh? We left. The morning prior we asked for a second to decide and we never saw our server again. It felt like he was punishing us. Bizarre.

   Reservation was for 10:30AM. We arrived 5 minutes early. We weren’t acknowledged for 20 minutes. Once seated, we had to eventually flag down a server for for drinks and food order. Server never returned independently. We had to seek him out whenever we needed anything. Food was good. Service was lacking. They were busy and appeared to be understaffed.

   Love the bar – exciting, big-city vibe with great drinks, especially Asian lime cocktail Juice & Gin! Dinner was superb, and the fish tender, with flavorful. sauces The strong coffee espresso creme brulée was a perfect ending to dinner. Service was very attentive! Only detraction: some of us were quite cold because the a/c was too high. All in all, a great evening!

   In recent years the Gordon Tavern has become my favorite full-service restaurant in Eugene. The food quality is tops and the atmosphere is nice.

   I love a good buffet, but this one left a lot to be desired. The first few plates I picked up were dirty. The selection of savory items was very limited, and the hot items looked & tasted as if they had been warmed far too long. The carved prime rib and dessert assortment were the only thing that kept my rating above one star. We won't go back again.

   The main dining room is very pleasant. For Mother’s Day we were in a separate room. It was noisy and the music was too loud. It was very hard to talk. However, the food and service were excellent.

    We booked the party of 6 for Mothers Day. Unfortunately, they only offered a Brunch Buffett. The food was fair at best. We word seated in a Hotel Conference rather than the actual restaurant. To top it off, the cost for the party of 6 plus tip was $382. Very disappoiting.
