Review summary

AI-generated from verified diner reviews
Grand Brasserie, nestled in Grand Central Terminal, offers a "stunning" atmosphere with elegant architecture and vibrant energy. While service experiences vary, the "excellent food" consistently shines, especially the French cuisine classics like escargot and steak frites. The Green Room provides a "cozy" alternative for quieter dining. A must-visit for its unique blend of "Parisian charm" and urban convenience.

Friends recommended this restaurant in Grand Central Terminal and it's well worth a visit. The bar area in back is stunning. Service was great, friendly and attentive. Food was good, just onion soup and a sandwich. We'll try it again for dinner.

I've been to Grand Brasserie twice. It has a nice vibe, very mod, very chic, very convenient to transportation. However, if you are looking for a good meal, the food is just adequate. The food is pricey, so not the best value. But still, a good place to meet friends and colleagues for its central location and affluent air of success.

Beautiful space with late night kitchen in Grand Central terminal. Service: nonexistent. Server took our order and than we literally never saw him again. Manager gave us our cocktails. Side orders for the entrees came as appetizers and then food didn’t come out for 35 minutes later. We were concerned we had been forgotten about because the server had I guess gone home. Manager closed our check out when we had finished eating. This is not service. I can understand if we were there a few minutes before close but we arrived a full hour and a half before close. You can’t run the place like a diner and then expect people to pay premium prices. It was my husbands birthday and we had just gotten off of our own restaurant shifts where we waited on people all day long. It is very disappointing that after serving hundreds of people all day long, when you yourself go out, you get no service.

The Grand Brasserie was wonderful. The food was delicious, the service excellent but the noise level was extremely loud because there was a band playing in the station next door. However I will definitely go again and perhaps sit in the green room.

Main tables are in grand central station terminal. Amazing and breathtaking architecture. There is also a more closed off area of the restaurant which is more intimate. The food was exceptional! Get the Trout! The oysters were fresh and flavorful! The mocktails were also good if you don’t want alcohol ! Overall great experience, I highly recommend and will definitely return Thanks to Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis for saving this historic train station!!!!!!!!

A really great "find" for this part of town- in a gorgeous setting at Grand Central. Recommend the Green Room for a slightly quieter atmosphere. Serving up traditional French brasserie fare: from muscles to croque monsieur to entrecôte. Great wine list (if you like French wines!) Friendly and accommodating service. Loud atmosphere. Some dishes were a little heavy on the vinegar.

Beautiful decor, excellent food, somewhat overpriced, service good but a little rushed. Tip: always reserve in The Green Room - more intimate & quieter.
