   Grand Concourse is a beautiful restaurant unfortunately the food was a disappointment. Because of the other reviews, we had high expectations. We didn't mind the wait because it was a Saturday night. We were seated a little bit after our reservation, and that was very nice But when the food arrived the mashed potatoes were cold and the salad which was a main course had wilted lettuce with yellow on the ends of the lettuce. The waiter, although very nice, was forgetful and quite slow. We paid $$$ and felt that we might have done better going somewhere else for the amount we paid.

   We sat at the grand concourse with a view of the city. It was fun to see the city lights while dining in the concourse ambiance. We had the crab cake starter - very large, full of crab and the most delicious we’ve had in a long while. We also had the mahi mahi and crab/shrimp pasta. The mahi mahi was light and the sauce complemented the fish so well. It was delicious. Great date and/or celebration spot. The complimentary celebration crème brûlée was creamy and light. The caramelized topping was tasty with a taste of cinnamon on top.

   The Twilight Prix Fixe is excellent. Great place for seafood and the desert was top notch. Outstanding server, he was knowledgeable and professional. A very courteous manner.

   The service was amazing from the valet parking to our amazing waitress Saphire. The food was incredible.

   We were first offered a table on the “patio” which was basically outside with heaters and plastic walls- so NOT what you go to the grand concourse to experience. I am so glad we refused and sat inside the beautiful space. Other than that it was a beautiful & tasty experience for our annual tradition.

   Overflowing trash cans in the restroom, being seated 30 minutes past the reservation time, and dirty glassware on the table were not the best ways to start birthday brunch. But the addition of overcooked prime rib and mediocre buffet food, leaves me to believe that the ambience of a bygone era is the best part of this restaurant. The service was nice, go for a drink at the bar, or give it a try for dinner, but the buffet is overrated.

   Food selection is limited and taste is not very impressive. Food needs a lot of improvement for the price of the Sunday brunch buffet.

   We had a reservation for 1PM but weren't seated until 1:30. Other than that, the service and food were lovely.

    I made a reservation and waited for 50 minutes. This pushed us back towards the end of the buffet time. It was very messy and dirty looking. They were out of some items and they were not replenished. Our server took a really long time to get drinks, clear table and bring the check. I am in the food service industry and I realize the challenges but for $45/person it was not a great experience. I doubt I will be back again.
