What a gem of a restaurant. It's quality, exceptional Italian comfort food from start to finish. It's a testimony to how amazing things can be produced in the smallest of spaces. The pasta that is made by hand is like observing an artisan ply his trade. A wonderful live experience. Everyone raved about their dishes and my starter 'Burrata Capocollo e Gnocco Fritto' was pure velvet. I've been dreaming about the main course ever since: Balinzoni. The red wine suggestion was so spectacular, our group of four had two bottles. We can't wait to return, pity for us it's on the opposite side of the City. I'd recommend, if you get the chance, going for the last sitting so you can enjoy it for beyond the two-hour allocated slot. I don't believe you can even book a table on Friday or Saturday for months, so I'd also say 'grab what is available fast'! Thank you Team Grano, it was Bellissimo!

Returning for my second visit, I had high expectations—and somehow, they were exceeded. This time, I brought a few friends over from Glasgow, eager to share what I had discovered on my first visit. They were completely blown away, just as I had been. From start to finish, the evening was flawless. We began with the Calabrian dips—a vibrant, flavour-packed vegan offering that set the tone for the night. To share, we ordered the Scaldanduja, a spreadable spicy sausage from Calabria served with toasted bread. It was nothing short of phenomenal: deeply savoury with a perfect balance of heat, and the toasted bread offered just the right crunch to complement the richness of the nduja. For my main, I chose the Ragù—a dish I now find myself daydreaming about. It was a comforting, indulgent plate of food made with such skill and soul that it immediately stood out as a highlight of the evening. The depth of flavour and tenderness of the meat was genuinely unforgettable. To accompany our meal, we had a bottle of the Cala Tenuta del Conte for GRANO, a Greco Bianco/Trebbiano from Calabria. It was the ideal pairing—fresh, nuanced, and expressive, with just enough minerality to lift every bite. And then came the Tiramisù. Quite simply, the best any of us had ever had. Light yet rich, perfectly balanced, and with a texture so delicate it almost melted on the tongue. It was the kind of dessert that makes you pause after each spoonful, just to savour the moment. Every detail—from the authentic regional flavours to the attentive and warm service—made this a truly stunning experience. A place that not only lives up to the hype but surpasses it. I can’t wait to return again.

Have heard only positive things about Grano so was expecting great things. It’s a small italian restaurant and on the day we visited filled with italians which is a very good indicator. Wine recommendation was great . Loved my starter of a crisp fried meat ball. However both myself and my husband were disappointed in the pasta.Mine was very lukewarm which is something i dislike i like hot food to be hot but that’s a personal thing , my husband felt his pasta was too thick .Think many people will love this restaurant and the owner / manger did give us a lovely dessert on the house.

Grano has been on our list for a long time and we finally got to go tonight and it didn't disappoint. The staff were great and very friendly, the service was excellent and the food was the best I've had in a very long time.
