   First time eating here, just my wife and I. With 4.8 stars on Yelp, we thought this should be a good restaurant. We decided to share a prime rib. For over $80 for one plate, the meat they delivered to our table after a very long wait was fatty and cut into strips (who does that?) and not very hot. We tried to make the best of it, but we honestly felt disappointed and underwhelmed. The manager tried to explain it away, put a good face on it. We should have specified how fatty or not we wanted our prime rib in advance. Because the meat was cut into strips, it got cold quickly. They offered a chocolate mouse dessert, it was sweet but not tasty, like they dressed up something they had delivered. On a Friday night, the area was bustling, yet this restaurant was vacant. The Chop House just down the street was lively and full. The Manager explained many people like their meat more than the Chop House. That’s clearly not what the foot traffic’s would indicate. The verdict is clear - don’t waste your time on this place. It is mediocre at best.

   It is different food in a way but if you have a pallet that is up for change and trying something new, then this is the place for you. I heard mixed reviews about Griffin's and I get why now. I loved it and definitely will return. The oxtail was not your traditional Cuban style, but it was truly delicious. Different, tasty, fancy, not so expensive and I'm glad we have a place like this in Brea.

   Food and service were both great! While menu isn’t big, the items on there are all well prepared and quality.

   Was our first time here. We loved everything we ordered. We shared the Ribeye and a Caesar Salad (big enough for two) also enjoyed the Brussel Sprouts for our appetizer and the Pomegranate Sorbet for dessert. We enjoyed our evening meal it was so delicious we didn’t leave anything on our plates. Also, we were nicely surprised our bill wasn’t to high (shared meals). We had two drinks too. Our server was wonderful, she knew the menu well and gave us good feedback (information) regarding the food and drinks. We had a great experience. Thank you.

   I took my wife there for dinner and this my take on the establishment. The drinks were outstanding. The food service was the fastest I've seen ever in my life. Almost too fast. My wife loved her meal. I, on the other hand, didn't care for the recipe for the food I selected. I had the oxtails and they were too fancy in how they did it. It was so non traditional it was not tasty. They were too fusion for my taste.

   Just very poor service and that's that there was only maybe 5 tables occupied at the time and another 6 people at the bar other than that the food was great prices were reasonable and drinks were good

    We have eaten at every nice restaurant in the area and this is the one that delivered!! Recently the prices at good restaurants have gone through the roof so we were looking for a gourmet experience with a decent price point - and we found it!! Service is impeccable - thank you Chris - and the food is exceptional. The CRISPIEST of brussel sprouts with a delicate but perfect fennel sauce. Meat balls cooked in a beef shoulder braise and garlic bread toasts to die for. And salmon crudo in a passion fruit broth - so refreshing and unique. My husband had I shared the oxtail - exceptional. I grew up eating oxtail and have never had it with such Asian flavor and crispy edges. We took the bones home to make bone broth . Thank you.
