   We had the Easter Buffet and I had been quoted $69.95 a person. There was no mention of a 20% gratuity being added and an additional 6% sales tax on top of both at the time I inquired about the cost. We learned about this after being seated. This didn't go over well, since we had called ahead and inquired what the cost was ahead of time. We had a 1:45 reservation and we arrived at 1:30 and we're seated immediately. Mike was an excellent server and kept our drinks filled and empty dishes removed. He was the best part of the meal. We were disappointed in the food, as all of our food was cold as the Sternos had gone out. Finally about 2 pm they started replacing the Sternos and bringing out hot food. We felt it was mediocre food and disappointed in the quality food and that was cold when we each initially went through the line. We are most likely not going to return. We don't mind paying for a great meal, but we do expect the wood to be hot and trays refilled. The meal we had the night before at another restaurant was far superior and the cost was 50% less.

   I have heard fantastic things about the regular menu, so this review is not a reflection of that, but specifically the Easter Brunch. The food was fine, but nothing special, and certainly not worth the $70 per person fee. The “hot rolls” station consisted of cold bread, the plates available to pick up at the stations were either wet or dirty, and the food items were akin to what you would expect at a hotel continental breakfast and not a fancy brunch. Definitely not worth the money. Our server was good, which is why this review gets two stars instead of one. Save your money on the brunch buffet and visit the normal part of the restaurant.

   AVOID ON HOLIDAYS! SCAM! Where do I begin… Cost was $70 for Easter Brunch per person. We were shocked that no one came to check and refuel our waters, the floor was filthy with straw wrappers, food, etc. The food was not even mediocre. It was just bad. Gloopy, fatty, stale, old salad leaves, etc. The only good thing was the lemon tart, chocolate strawberries, and fruit. The buffet area was beyond a mess. Plates were dirty (we had to pick the cleanest ones), the serving utensils fell into the food and were sticky and dirty. No one was cleaning the utensils or replacing napkins so they were filthy and so covered in food you could barely use them to get more food. The worst part is that our $300 bill got hit with a 20% mandatory gratuity. We had it. We got them to delete the gratuity but they tried to claim they disclosed it by pointing to a piece of paper on the entry table and that it said the cost was “$70 plus gratuities”. That doesn’t mean mandatory 20% gratuity! That’s just a reminder that gratuity is not included in the entry fee. We finally understood why service and food was so poor, and e everything was so dirty. No one had any motivation or incentive to do well because they expected a default 20% gratuity. Unreal experience and a very disappointing start to Easter Sunday. Avoid at all costs! This place is a predatory scam on people trying to enjoy a nice time expecting good food. Better value can be found just about anywhere else.

   Food was pretty good, but not great. When we went up to the buffet, there were no condiments for the smoked salmon or shrimp left…just ate it plain. The prime rib was overcooked with no options to get less cooked pieces. The selection for the price wasn’t worth the price. Drinks should’ve been included for a $70 lunch buffet. We really enjoyed the ham and dessert options.

   We were never told, even with the confirmation call, that only the buffet would be available today at a price of $70 - which was about $30 more than would have been reasonable. The fish cakes must have had some crab meat in them because I bit down on a pretty large piece of shell? The beef was undercooked & very fatty … the biscuits were so dry that when you tried to split them they just crumbled to pieces … the bagels were dried out … the bacon was undercooked… the omelet line was 20people long … way too long to wait … the little desert cakes were dried out like they had been left put overnight except the brownie & peanut butter ones … all in all a complete disappointment in my book - I will never come again.

    Overall, I was disappointed. The Easter brunch was ~$180 total for 2 people including the taxes and tip. It was not an impressive breakfast buffet for that kind of money. The omelet station was nice, but my omelet was not super tasty. Kind of the overall theme. The waffles, and the biscuits, for biscuits and gravy were both dry. Skillet potatoes were good. Scrambled eggs were good. prime rib was good, but just not super tasty. A friend made prime rib for dinner later the same night on Easter, and his was much better. The ham was good, but not great. Fish the same. Mac and cheese and pasta alfredo were both good, but not knock your socks off. The oysters were not very good. Sushi was not great. Peel and eat shrimp good, but not great. I was expecting a buffet that for those kind of prices was going to blow me away, but what I got was Holiday Inn Express brunch. Even my coke was flat. It was packed there, so I'm not sure if other people liked it or if there's a bunch of people like me who won't be back. My next brunch I will give somewhere else a try. My advice is don't waste your money, unless you have so much that you don't care.
