   The food at Habanero’s is good, especially if you’re in the mood for Nuevo Mexicano. The complimentary salsa and bean dips are very tasty, but the chips are hard. Our guacamole had way too many onions. My husband liked his beef enchiladas plate, except for the tasteless black beans. My mojito was great, as were my two shredded beef soft tacos (but the tortillas are extremely small). We like Habanero’s every so often for a change of pace. The service is lacking — maybe it’s attributed to a Sunday evening. IDK.

   The queso with a side of pork skins was the best I’ve had to date. Guacamole was good. I was surprised the chili relleno was just ok. The rice and beans were good and seasoned well. Plantains were pretty good. The drinks were good. Atmosphere and ambience good. Would definitely go back.

   I had a chimichanga and it was delicious! Presentation was nice. The rice could have been more moist. The bean dip was very good.

   I had the shrimp taco plate and they were fantastic. We went with a group of four and everyone enjoyed their meal thoroughly. Our waitress was very knowledgeable, energetic and kind. overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be back.

   Cool venue. Server did not want to be there. A Mexican restaurant that ran out of chips at 6 pm on a Sunday! Let us order queso knowing they didn’t have any more chips 😂. I wish the service and food was better, because it definitely has a fun vibe.

    This was my third visit. Each time, food has been somewhat less impressive. Last night, we had a reservation but couldn’t get a table inside. So sat outside on a humid, warm, rainy night. Probably won’t go back.
