   Food & drinks were all amazing and loved that Chef came to our table to see how everything was as well as the GM. Very nice touch! Bartenders and wait staff were all great too!

   This is the type of modern Chinese restaurant foodies have, for a long time, been hoping would come to South Tampa. Superb dumplings, outstanding fried rice dishes (we had the one with lobster), sticky ribs, salt and pepper shrimp, yummy Chinese eggplant, etc., etc. Great quality, nice wine list and drinks list. We can’t wait to return.

   Without a doubt the best restaurant in Tampa. Where is their star?? They clearly deserve Tampa's first 2 start if not 3.

   This is our first time eating at Hale’s, let me give you a rundown of what we ordered. First of all we got the tower of steamed dumplings and the pot stickers all of which were very dry. They did come with dipping sauces but unfortunately, the dipping sauces were extremely salty. Then we received four egg rolls, which were very greasy to start off and filled with a strange kind of meat and green beans my rating on those would’ve been a two out of 10 . Then they brought us the lamb dumplings and the lamb noodles which were extremely spicy . We were absolutely unable to eat them due to the spice content about the same time we got the Dan, Dan noodles and the fried truffle rice, which were both good. We also ordered the $200 tomahawk steak, medium rare It was more medium well done and was topped with a very sweet and salty sauce. We were not aware of when we ordered it. Which we would’ve asked for the sauce on the side. One of the worst, saltiest meals I have ever had. Extremely disappointed and upset. All in all in the end we spent $720 with tip which is outrageous for a dinner for four. We could’ve gone to Bern’s steakhouse. Not worth the huge bill. Would not recommend or return.

   Hello Julie. Although we do not believe the food quality was as poor as stated, we are Grateful for your visit. It is your opinion, which you are entitled too. However, we would like to point out that you ordered martinis, non-alcoholic beverages, 7 appetizers, 7 entrees, and 1 dessert for 4 guests. Also, some of the items you chose are typically considered expensive, such as a 40 oz tomahawk, white truffle noodles, and lamb chops; in addition to a more than average amount of food. Your food and beverage bill was $564 before tax and tip. Your order per person was 56% higher than our average guest. We point this out because your review is not only inflammatory but certainly misleading,due to the excessive order.Please contact taylor@halesblackbrick if more clarification is needed.Thanks!

   Excellent Asian food! You can tell Chef Hales puts a lot of pride and thought into his dishes. Everything we ordered was delicious. Highly recommend! The decor and ambience was very relaxing as well. All of the staff was super gracious and kind. We will definitely be back!

   The food is really different and very special. A great place to order several thing and share. everyone at our table said this was the best Asian style food they have had.

    Brussels were coated in so much sauce could even taste them. Restaurant was freezing. Food came out slow. Weird experience
