Our owner, Chef Richard Hales a four generation Tampa family since 1954, is back in his hometown of Tampa after 25 years away mastering Asian cuisine, opening award winning restaurants and appearing on the Food Network; beloved by the likes of Guy Fieri. Our seasonal menu features Asian techniques using the fi nest ingredients and availability of locally sourced produces. Chef Hales’ invites you to experience eclectic ambiance, elevated service and his version of Chinese cuisine.

    Amazing! Everything we ordered was super delicious! Pork belly, lamb and cumin dumplings, truffle fried rice, Dan Dan noodles and the short ribs. Everything was hot, very fresh and delicious! We will definitely be back! Service was also superb. Manager visited our table and was very friendly. Our compliments to the chef and staff at Hales Blackbrick!!!

    This is hands down the most complete restaurant in the Tampa Area. It is difficult to find the words to describe this dining experience….the food, service, ambience, music, bar drinks all melt together perfectly to create a perfect dining experience. All elements are 5 star but they humbly execute as if they have something to prove to their customers and you feel their appreciation for you through each of the elements that make up this amazing restaurant!

    I absolute love Hales and Richard and Jenny’s hospitality. It’s bar none! My girlfriend and I spent Valentine’s Day with Hales and it’s always an extraordinary experience from the insanely delicious food to the staff!

    We have dined at Hales Blackbrick in the past and found the experience quite enjoyable. This was our first time ordering the duck. Since you have to do it in advance, we were a bit skeptical about how the experience would be. I must say the food was excellently prepared, the presentation was spot on and the overall meal was exceptional. Highly recommend!

    The food, atmosphere, and service were outstanding! Short ribs were awesome along with the house fried rice!!! However, it was a bit pricey! The overall experience was great!!!

    Incredible dinner at one of the best Chinese restaurants we've dined in. Opted for outdoor dining, which probably would not do again - it's noisy and the furniture a bit awkward. Staff is warm, friendly, and accommodating. Soup Dumplings, Egg Roll, Shu Mai, Shrimp fried Rice, Peking Duck and S&P Shrimp ALL perfect 10's! Looks like I need to find more reasons to visit Tampa - the locals are quite fortunate to have Chef Hales back - we sure miss him in Miami!
