   Very average. Go for drinks and outdoor views. Menu has not been updated for a while and like most restaurants with a water view, average at best. Friendly staff.

   When the weather cooperates, this is the place to eat outside at the water's edge. It is a special feeling to sit and eat in very relaxed environment.

   it was a beautiful night to dine under the stars and celebrate Father's day. The food was very good and it was very relaxing and relaxed atmosphere

   The Saturday night we were there it was very busy. We had 8pm reservation and weren't seated until at least 8:30 but there is a nice bar to wait at. I had tried to request a window but they won't guarantee even though I made the res. 5 weeks in advance. Needless to say we didn't get one. We enjoyed the food and our waiter was excellent. I do want to add that when this restaurant is full it is quite noisy inside. Views are terrific!

   I took my family here for my son's graduation. We sat indoors and had a decent view of the beautiful Hudson outside. The waitress was very attentive and pleasant. A loud mouth at the table next to us was annoying. I've been here before with my wife and the food has been very good. This time, the food was sub-par, especially for the price. The coconut shrimp tasted as if they had been heated up, not bad, but not great. The main courses were OK, but OK is not great for the prices they charge. The dessert, however...I'll just say that the ice cream sandwich is out of this world! You're paying for the ambiance which is wonderful. Maybe it was an off night for the kitchen. I'm sure we'll give it another try this summer.

   What drew us in was the location – the view of the Hudson from the patio adjacent to the river is simply GORGEOUS. Then it quickly became clear that the view was just the beginning. The service was great – attentive and consistent but not intrusive. The adults savored well-crafted and tasty cocktails and our meals were well-portioned and delicious. We enjoyed the raw oysters (East Coast) so much we ordered a second dozen. We had four adults and two kids in our group and had no issue in accommodating everyone’s preferences. The ambiance was very lively and dynamic – it seemed to be quite the gathering for locals (small parties and families alike) who were definitely enjoying themselves. After settling in, the staff made this family from Texas feel right at home! We are DEFINITELY looking forward to returning to Half Moon on a future trip to the Hudson Valley, and heartily recommend Half Moon, especially for those visiting from out-of-town – it’s not to be missed!!!

   Wonderful! food, and surroundings, it's all good! Wish the weather had cooperated that day, we would have been outside. But even from inside you experience the river and the views through the full length windows that surround the restaurant.

   The food was mediocre at best and the service was poor. The restaurant has beautiful views of the Hudson River and while the restaurant was only two thirds full, we were seated in the worst place possible - seats near the entrance with no view. My son ordered the baby back ribs but couldn't chew on the meat since it was completely burnt, rubbery like jerky and had splotches of tin foil on the rib. The other entrees weren't bad but not worth mentioning either. The waiter seemed annoyed and angry, never smiled and was basically unpleasant to us. What a disappointing experience!
