   Extremely disappointed by Friday night dinner experience at Harbor MTK. Unfortunately this restaurant and it's staff - from host, servers, and I'd assume management - epitomize the stereotype of the new Montauk scene. Made a reservation for 9PM, promptly sat at a beautiful picnic table with an amazing view of the Montauk Harbor - which is one of the only selling points. Evening was on the colder side, so host courteously sat us next to a heat lamp and all was good. Approx. 10 minutes later (after drinks and food were ordered), the same host returned to sit another table and rolled away the heat lamp for the "VIP Guests" - what an a**! I asked why, as did the table next to us, and he just shrugged his shoulders, smiled, and walked away. The mediocre food arrived, the mood was soured, and the crowds of other VIP guests rolled in and the whole scene turned into a Sloppy Tuna - on the Harbor. Not surprising at all - just a disappointing $100+ meal with the New Montauk. Understand that some restaurants serve as a foil for party scene, and this is certainly one of those.

   The food was amazing and tasty. after 7 PM the band was playing outside, great music but a little loud as we came with our kids. the owner came out and lowered it a bit, received great service - 5 stars! will be back for sure.

   We had terrific dinner. We all had the seared Yellow Fin Tuna which was delicious and cooked to perfection. Between the mixed greens, the cold Lobster Gazpacho, the fresh Eggplant and house made Burrata you could taste every flavor and never wanted it to end. We sat outside "On the beach", they could have used a few more heat lamps and the service was a little slow but our waitress Kira was delightful and it didn't impact our evening in the least.

   We made our open table reservation for six people at 7:00 on July 1st. Looking forward to entertaining clients and enjoying a great meal. We arrived to an empty parking lot which we thought a little odd. Entered the restaurants to find an empty restaurant with chairs up on tables and a hostess. The restaurant "forgot" they were open that night. It was the first day they were open midweek in the summer season and they forgot. Verified our reservation, couldn't believe it was July 1, said they were sorry, end of story. We were left in a holiday vacation location on July 4 th weekend with no reservation. Not pleasant.

   I made a reservation for 6:30 on Wednesday evening June 24th and when we arrived they were not open!!!!! This place is a sham.

   The food was good, as was the service until the restaurant got very busy. We ordered desert, and after waiting 30 minutes, it still had not shown up. Our waitress said there was a problem with the kitchen. We cancelled desert, waited nearly 15 minutes while they had to figure out how to cancel off our bill. All said, it took 45 minutes to wait for desert that never arrived and change the bill. They did comp some drinks for the mix-up, but the final customer service element left us with an underwhelming dining experience.

   This place is brand new and has an incredible menu (fresh seafood, unique dishes) that is perfect for small plate sharing lovers.

   The service here is horrible. From the first interaction dealing with a reservation modification to the bill, we were highly disappointed. Our drunken lobster came without the mashed potatoes and there was no effort by the Manager to satisfy the mistake. On a $450 bill, I think she thought we were trying to get a free entree - really? We were still ordering drinks when the waitress came to us and asked us to either 1) order dessert or 2) Pay the bill. We decided to pay the bill. We ventured to Swallow East for one drink and then came back to our cars. There was no one even sitting at our table. May have been partially acceptable if there were people waiting for our table. Food, eh... nothing to rave about. Maybe new restaurant kinks??

    Harbor opened just about three weeks before I came in for dinner, but everything ran smoothly as if they'd been open for years. The food was beyond AMAZING. Every plate better than the one before it. I'll absolutely go back and I'd recommend it to anyone.
