   A friend recommended Hardware since we were going to be in the area. It’s a bit of a drive from us, but I’d definitely go back. We were seated in the heated patio area. The heater was a little loud and without, it was drafty but the fireplace was warm and beautiful. The drink menu is whiskey & bourbon dence but we had a nice red and a couple of really good local beers to start. We ordered 4 dishes and shared . My favorite was the brisket which came with the best potatoes I’ve had in a long time and served with just the right amount of a delicious sauce. Korean pork fried rice was another great pick. The salmon on the salmon salad was the right smokiness. The least favorite was the pork tenderloin which was perfectly prepared but needed a better sauce. The atmosphere and service were great. Their mission is commendable and something worth supporting.

   Went for Christmas Eve dinner. It was a little more crowded than expected. Had a charcuterie board, short rib pot pie, bison burger, and strawberry trifle. Everything was good. Especially enjoyed the charcuterie board.

   Red wine serving should go in a smaller glass. Great food but a little pricey. The beer is top notch as well.

   I've never had a bad experience at Hardware. The food is excellent, I love the fact that so much of their menu is locally sourced. The wait staff is always outstanding.

   Our group of meat lovers, a young child and my vegan daughter all had a wonderful meal. Waitstaff was exceptional and very knowledgeable about the menu-both food and beverages. His suggestions were spot-on. Definitely worth the drive from Chicago for us. We will be back!

   I LOVE this restaurant! The charcuterie (sp) tray is fabulous. I especially love the Flatiron steak; what a tender, delicious meal. I cannot wait to return to Hardware for dinner!

   Forgot to make my 7 year olds meal after I requested to have the kids orders out first. Waitress didn’t apologize about it until I let her know I was disappointed. Brisket was completely dry and tough. For being smoked 14 hours it seemed like it wasn’t given any resting time. Mussels tasted like peanut butter. Pot pie was fine. Been here a lot in the past and loved it. That’s why I came here for my birthday. Unfortunately, this time it was a miss.

   As always our visit to Hardware was a lovely time! We love how family friendly it is there but also feels upscale and cozy! We had the Burrata app and brisket tacos which were fabulous. I always get the Ragu as it is never disappointing and I crave it when I don’t get it. My son absolutely devoured his kids chicken fingers - wish there was an adult version of this plate! Service was wonderful and attentive too!

    Everything was excellent from the food to the craft cocktails. Our party of 6 thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at the hi top table. Our server Alex was one of the best that I’ve ever had! Will definitely be back!
