   Mahalo from each member of our family for making this celebration memorable. ! The ambience,food, cleanliness was superb! We have been going to Hau tree for more than 20 years and look forward to seeing you soon!

   Our family was visiting from Michigan for the first time and they loved it. We were given a premium seat (7 of us) under the hau tree and lanterns. My son had never had loco moco and loved it, 3 of us had the lemon ricotta pancakes, one had eggs and bacon, my husband had the ham benedict and the 1944 MaiTai, the rest mimosas. Cody was excellent timing the food and service perfectly. They absolutely loved it. Thank you for such great accommodation.

   This place just was not what I was expecting. The view of the beach was nice and our drinks were good, but outside of that, this place was very overhyped. Customer service was beyond poor. We sat at our table for more than 10-15 min before our server ever appeared. Someone else brought us water before I served appeared (which we still waited a long period of time for). We were first timers at this restaurant and had questions to help determine what we wanted to order to eat. Before getting to our questions, my partner had a question about what was included in the Chefs special so that we could discuss if we were getting that while we enjoyed our drinks. The server said something along the lines of let me go take care of these other guests and I’ll answer when I get back. No big deal but it was definitely off putting. This happened again when we finally were inquiring about different options on the menu and were stopped for the server to say “sorry, I have other tables to server, there’s only so many questions I can answer about the menu.” This honestly made me want to leave at that moment but we were celebrating my partners birthday so I did not want to ruin the night even more. The food was overpriced. This experience was just nothing like I’ve ever experienced.

   Has to be one of the best restaurants in Oahu! Beautiful, unique food, amazing ambiance. Highly recommend.

   Table placement was awesome. Cocktails were mediocre. Food options and preparation were terrible. We have been going to Hau Tree Lanai off and on since 1991, but our first since COVID. The waiters were gone. The menu was vastly different. The preparation was awful. We will not return. If this is a new direction because of a new chef, fire them.

   Juan did a great job as our waiter. But the food was not worth the price point at all. Very mediocre or less with the taste of the food and we ordered 3 different things.

   The lobby was a beautiful spot to hang out while we waited for our table. Just a few minutes past reservation time and it was worth the wait. I ordered the Kona cold brew martini (excellent) and the Shakshuka and toast (delicious). My husband got the cured salmon benedict. His only complaint was there was too much hollandaise sauce. Which sounds like a personal problem because it was so yummy. Service was great and can’t wait to go back.

    Excellent service, great food. Very friendly staff. We had a birthday celebration and the staff was very helpful and accommodating with our lunch. Need to do more to keep pidgeons out of restaurant.
