   We tried Haven Kitchen & Bar with the Dine Out Vancouver enticement. We were greeted by friendly front of house staff. Our table was located in the loft so we overlooked the restaurant. It is a bustling upscale restaurant filled with people of all ages but later primarily lots of young adults. Our server, Stephanie, was right on top of service, making sure we did not want for anything. Some of us ate off the Dine Out Menu but you could also have their regular affair. The meals were very good. The only difficulty we had was reading the menu as upstairs is low lite for reading. Glad we have phone flashlights! lol We will return once the weather is warmer to enjoy the patio.

   Went there during the Dine Out menu and it happened to be a Thursday so they had half price bottles of wine, score! I had polenta fries & steak, the fries were too filling as an appetizer & would have been a better side, or maybe I shouldn't have eaten all of them?Hubby enjoyed the kale salad and salmon dinner. The desserts were rather ordinary, but I imagine people aren't here for dessert. The ambience was nice, we sat upstairs and it wasn't too noisy considering every table was full. Very limited beer menu (5 brands), otherwise lots of food, wine & cocktail choices. I will return, maybe a patio table next time!

   One negative is the plating. The round dish like plate is awful to put your cutlery down. It was a bit messy. Just a minor fix

   Super great night with delicious food, impeccable service and very cool atmosphere. Tamara was very attentive and provided the right amount of engagement. Food has layered flavors. Even accommodated my annoying modifications. Great atmosphere with neat small touches.

   Our meal was terrific, when I made the reservation I had said it was for a birthday and had asked for a nice seating because it was for my granddaughter who had not been there before. I kind of thought we would have had a booth, or the patio but got a table in front of the booths where one feels you’re being watched from above. We ordered a dessert which neither of us enjoyed and to her credit the waitress took it off the bill which was very nice of her All in all, I enjoyed my granddaughter’s company and the meal, just a little disappointed about no mention of her birthday, the table and the dessert.
