   I’ve been to Hawkeye & Huckleberry many times but this last experience was a little different and sad. We did the Valentine’s pre-fix menu and I get it it’s a busy night but the food was a complete miss. It didn’t taste and feel like the normal Hawkeye that I normally love.

   The ambience and vibe was amazing! Our server was great and the food was really good. However we signed up for their Valentines package and they ran out of the soup so they brought salad which I don’t eat and the lava cake was inedible. But to be fair we did get the dessert to go and tried to eat it at home 45 minutes later. The band cancelled so there was no live music as was advertised for Valentine’s Day. So we went for a rather expensive experience but don’t feel like we got the full experience. We will be back another time for sure but maybe not on a special day.

   I was super excited to eat here and even more so because it was on my birthday, which also falls on Valentine's Day. We made reservations a month out as we knew it would be quite busy. We also knew that it was going to be a set menu and we were fine with that. Our problems were that when we arrived they sat us in the bar area at a high top. My husband recently had hip replacement surgery and cannot sit on a bar stool comfortably. The ladies at the front desk were very kind and said that wouldn't be a problem. They ended up moving us to a back room that they called the "love lounge". Um, not quite. It was the back room they use for large private parties and overflow. It felt like we were in a cheap hotel conference room. There was a nice musician but other than that it wasn't what we were expecting - especially since the main restaurant is so cute. They ran out of pink table cloths and started using pink plastic table cloths. The food was ok, my shrimp toast was the best thing. My husband and I both had the salmon and, while I am ok with it medium rare, my husband wasn't a fan but didn't feel comfortable sending it back. It definitely felt like a banquet meal. For the amount we paid, we were really underwhelmed.

   The service was exceptional. The food was delicious. The atmosphere in the Pink Pony Room was fun and quirky. I recommend Hawkeye and Huckleberry to anyone wanting to celebrate a special occasion.

   The food, service, and atmosphere were all perfect! Couldn’t have asked for a better custom Valentine’s Day menu.

   Such a great new addition to our favorite town! Drinks one night and dinner the next. The fire pit out front was amazingly warm in the frigid weather and the set up inside was so unique and creative! Will be our go-to when we are in town next.

   It's hard to pay high prices in Bend these days. More often than not it ends up not being worth it, but not at H&H! It's always delicious and the service is great. Thanks again!

   Great food, amazing vibe and ambiance! The service was incredible and we even had the privilege of the head chef come out and greet us! We will absolutely be back!

    Always wonderful. The only reason I gave value a lower score is because the cornbread was so thin. What happened to the thick airy amazing cornbread?
