Welcome to Hawksmoor Chicago, where we bring our acclaimed steakhouse experience from the UK to the iconic LaSalle Powerhouse in River North. Our ethos is simple: ‘Buy the best and let it shine.’ We serve all-natural, pasture-reared, dry-aged beef from US family-run farms, cooked over charcoal and seasoned simply with sea salt. Our seafood, sourced from trusted Northeastern fishermen, is prepared with equal care.

In our 16,500 sq ft space, featuring barrel-vaulted ceilings and touches from the Golden Age of Travel, Hawksmoor is perfect for any occasion. Whether you’re stopping by for cocktails, a casual lunch or a special celebration, we make sure you leave full and happy. We also offer private dining for groups of 10 to full venue buy-outs for 500—ideal for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and corporate events.

And don’t miss our Sunday Roast: dry-aged beef, beef-dripping potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and bone marrow gravy—something like a Thanksgiving dinner every Sunday.

Sundays at Hawksmoor are all about our Sunday Roast: all-natural, dry-aged, slow-roasted Rump served with crispy beef dripping potatoes, Caraflax cabbage and carrots, gigantic Yorkshire puddings, lashings of bone marrow & onion gravy and the option for a side of cauliflower cheese or slow-roasted bone marrow and onions. Sunday Roast dates back to the 15th century where large joints of meat were roasted on a spit over an open fire; to achieve a similar flavor, we start ours on our charcoal grill and finish them in the oven. Many who've had a Sunday Roast equate it to a Thanksgiving dinner – a comforting, filling meal that is best in the company of loved ones. And, should a Bloody Mary, or two, be consumed alongside it, who are we to judge?

Our team, led by Hawksmoor legend (and assistant general manager) Zach Ballard, has created a menu of top picks that'll hit the spot without hurting your wallet. From Steak Frites for just $25 to the Notorious B.E.E.F Burger, $2 Oysters, cocktails (all $13 or less), and even a meal deal that’ll leave you more than happy. The new Hawksmoor Happy Hour menu is available 7 days a week from 5 PM - 7 PM.

It’s a simple concept: bring any wine you like – doesn’t matter if it’s a first-growth Bordeaux or a bottle of Barefoot – and we’ll only charge you $10 corkage (for up to two bottles). Take a stroll over to our neighbors at the Aqua Wine & Spirits store (they’re literally on the other side of the street) and they’ll help you choose something to make your meal pop. You can even call us ahead of time and ask one of our somms what they suggest.

First visit to Hawksmoor and will definitely return again soon. The highlights were the marrow and Vietnamese oysters, the gold fashioned, and scallops. Service was above and beyond from the moment we arrived.

Came here for me and my friends bday, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish! Our server was so friendly! The drinks were amazing, I love the reformed pornstar. All the food was delicious! Will definitely be back

This was the birthday dinner for the ages. The steaks were absolutely unbelievable. The scallop appetizer was truly great. The Mac & Cheese was a standout of the sides. Our tour of Chicago steakhouses over the last couple years benefitted greatly from our stop at Hawksmoor & I would recommend it for a special occasion or just a Saturday night out. I didn’t even mention the desserts which some of the best anywhere in Chicago or many other places I’ve been across the country. Oh, and the service was pretty great too. We will return for sure. Loved it.

We went there for happy hour, and we did not receive a happy hour menu until we asked for it. We also did not get our drinks first; we got our food first and had to remind our server after we had practically eaten all our food. He was really nice and realized that we never got our drinks and comped us for the drinks. We are willing to give it another try.
