   We received a warm welcome from the hostess to our lovely waitress. After a few minutes we realized our table was sort of in the middle of foot traffic. I asked if we could move to a table near the back window. Our waitress was accommodating and moved us over right away. We enjoyed the view and the atmosphere however, the portion of my meal was rather small for the price, and the bread was partially burnt. This was a little disappointing but, can be over looked.

   Our drinks, apps, and service were all well done. Bit disappointed by the ravioli portion size and the braised beef. The risotto and carrots were lacking imagination.

   I made a reservation for four many weeks ago requesting a booth. We arrived a few minutes early. There were several booths available. Our party included 4 adults, not small children. We were seated at a very small table suitable for 2 adults (my daughter, who is a waitress, and my partner, is a former waiter, both commented that it was a 2 top at most). Our waitress serving us spontaneously commented that there was not room at the table for all the dishes and drinks. We asked to be moved. We were told that ‘all the tables were reserved’. What about our reservation?? We watched as larger tables and booths sat empty for some time, some even throughout our entire meal, while we were squeezed at the 2 top for the entire meal. Additionally, although our server was friendly, the person who actually brought us our food seemed very put out when we nicely requested condiments - she had not asked if we needed anything when serving the food, so we needed to request it. Overall, this was definitely not a good first impression at all. We will not be returning. Don’t waste your time or money here.

   Although we have been highly satisfied with our usual Sunday brunch experience, we were disappointed by our Mothers' Day experience. Coffee was lukewarm, as was food when it arrived. My guess is that the servers and the kitchen had trouble handling the larger than usual crowd.

   Overall the experience was quite nice. We prefer to sit in the bar on a small booth acommodating (sic) 2. It's a lil more quiet than the rest of the area but still has a good vibe. I ordered the special and my partner ordered a chicken sandwich. His was great. My special was a rib I steak that had a lil too much fat and was way overpriced. One issue I have is that they do not change the menu all summer long. It gets boring, leaving not much to choose from. Fortunately the club is one of the best, if not the best restaurant in town. Service is always perfect.

   We had a wonderful dinner. Hubby had the steak and pepper sandwich I had a rib eye on top of a smashed garlic baked potato. Dinner was wonderful, and it always is. Glad to know they offer specials. That relieves the same summer menu. Great work to all!

   I was really looking forward to a quiet, slightly romantic birthday dinner with my husband but we were sat at a big table just for the 2 of us when there was other options. And I put on reservation it was for a birthday but nothing was said or anything so we just ate and left, after paying. Food was good but pasta was undercooked still quite hard, sauce and chicken parm was great but noodles were not good. Just though seating was weird and it was a little more like a sports bar then it look like online.

    Heather has been our servicer several times and is the best! Makes dining at the Hickory such a great experience.
