   The food was outstanding. I always worry about salmon being overcooked, but this time it was perfect. My wife had the short rib bolognese and it was amazing too. In addition to the great food, our server, Jackson, was also outstanding. He was cheerful, friendly, and very good at his job. I’d highly recommend HiLo for a great evening out.

   As a preface, we have wanted to try Hi Lo Eatery for some time - unfortunately, our experience was "Meh." Not an exceptional experience; we arrived at 6:45PM with reservation, seated promptly. Server took drink order, wine good, not exceptional but expensive. Ordered mussels, pleasantly surprised as they were tasty, broth overly salty, but lots of garlic. I ordered T-Bone; totally unexceptional cut of meat - could've been from King Soopers. Ordered medium rare, came medium. Not worth sending back, as it took almost one hour to receive meal. Wife ordered Caesar Salad and was intending on having some of my steak; but unexceptional quality of meat deterred her. It was a Friday night, granted; but the service was average, the decor is uninspired, the food was mediocre, the sound level is annoying, and the prices were higher than quality suggests they can demand. Will not return.

   This was my first time, and I LOVED everything about the place! Clean, friendly staff, great happy hour prices, great wines @ happy hour, food was appealing, fresh & DELICIOUS!!

   Excellent service but food was very overpriced and not very good. Mussels were chewy and no flavor. Bread was dry - how hard is it to add butter? A glass of inexpensive Moscato wine was $15! Seriously! Very small beet salad with canned beets! Really? Crab cakes tasted like tuna! Do not waste your time or money!

    The food is always outstanding at HiLo. When I made the reservation I told them we would be celebrating a birthday. Nobody asked or said anything to us about celebrating an occasion. The service was slow and the server was somewhat inattentive. She was very nice to some tables and not as nice to others which was a little odd. We have been to this restaurant many times over the years - this was not one of our better experiences.
