First time dining here on advice from friends - tried a variety of dishes from Sauerkraut Balls, Duck Confit Poutine, and a cheese plate for appetizers, to French Onion soup, Cheeseburger, and Pork Schnitzel - everything was delicious including the baguette slices from Blue Dog bakery (favorite of ours). The beer and cider offerings were terrific and diverse - started with Holy Grale's version of an Old Fashioned ("The Father"), and a delicious German rauchbier, and continued to sample a few others.

Everything was great. First time back after they reopened from the pandemic. The downstairs renovation and new furniture/decor are beautiful. Marble back splash on the bar with gold beer taps. Stained glass feature. Just gorgeous.

Really cool bar and seating area. We went with 6 Adults and 2 toddlers. This restaurant didn’t have any high chairs and our waiter had 0 flexibility on the menu to help get the kids some easy food. This aspect was very disappointing. The food was FANTASTIC. Multiple people in our party ordered the burger and everyone of them cleaned their plate. The worst entree ordered was the steak and frites. Steak had poor seasoning. MUST ORDER THE FRIES with dipping sauces. Phenomenal and lengthy beer menu. Biggest complaint was the service. Our waiter wasn’t very helpful in our dining experience with recommendations.

If you love beer, this is the place to go. If you’re not a beer drinker, this probably isn’t the place for you. Their drink menu is very limited when it comes to anything other than beer. The food menu was also very limited, but what they offered was good. It was a very unique and inviting atmosphere with a wonderful staff. From the hostess, to the server, to the bartender… everyone went out of their way to be friendly and helpful.

Had no expectations except an extensive beer section for my spouse. Holy moly what a great experience! Great drinks. Great apps. Great entrees. Great dessert. Great service! Would recommend.

One of my favorite spots to get together with friends. The tartare is my favorite dish and I love the NA options.

The meal itself was good, but we had a really awful experience. The first issue was that it was a bit of a pretentious atmosphere. They have a very complex and specific menu, which is perfectly okay, but seems like it should also come along with staff that are willing to explain things to you and not treat you as if you're beneath them simply because you don't speak German. I felt as if I was treated like I was dumb because I didn't understand the German menu and also because I didn't realize they did not serve regular soda. I have a deep southern accent from growing up in Southeastern KY, so sometimes it causes people to assume I am intellectually inferior. I was especially feeling those sentiments here. The second issue that made the evening a less-than-great experience was the surroundings. My husband and I were seeking a quaint date night, which we thought this restaurant would be great for since it's so small and intimate. However, we were sat upstairs in against an awkward wall directly next to a table of 20 SCREAMING (yes, I mean howling) mid-20s females having a birthday party and wearing party hats. With the high ceilings, their screams echoed throughout the room and my husband and I sadly couldn't even hold a conversation. We were sat less than 1 ft. away from this table, so it was a pretty miserable experience seeing as all other guests were slightly separated from the rowdy group except for us. At this time, I do not see that I will return since 1) I was made to feel self-conscious when ordering (rather than shown grace and given help) and 2) I can't ensure I will be able to even hear the person across from me during conversation.
