   I recently took my mother to celebrate her 50th birthday at Hudson house. When we made our reservation, we specifically mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday. However, during our visit, there was no acknowledgment of the occasion — a note was left on the table for the waiter to know,however he made no gesture, not even a mention. This was quite disheartening, especially since we had chosen your restaurant hoping to make the day feel special. Very disappointed!

   The oysters were wonderful as was the entire meal! The key lime pie rivals that of my own and that crust was magnificent! The cocktails were on point and they even made sure I got my special request. Our server was pleasant and did a really good job….a little slow and I never got my second iced tea…..but good nonetheless. It was a birthday for two of our grown kids and the ‘candles’ were a huge hit! Would definitely recommend The Hudson House!

   Don't accept cash payment. Charged 5 dollar platform fee to pay with credit card. Whipped avocado dip was just avocado in a bowl.

   Overall, we like Hudson house, had been there two times before. However, on this day, the popcorn chicken was a bit too done and too salty. And the fish tacos were disappointing. The other ingredients, beside the fish, and the sauce overwhelmed the fish and we could barely taste it. We look forward to going back and trying the Hudson house salad again, which we had enjoyed before very much.

   We ordered the popcorn chicken, cheeseburger, and lobster roll. Everything was delicious. The burger doesn’t come with French fries so we ordered a side of Mac ‘n cheese and it was also very good.
