Hy's Calgary is a modern rendition of the classic steakhouse tradition. Pride of place is held by the circular, glass enclosed grill room, producing perfect charcoal grilled Canadian Prime Grade steaks. The horseshoe shaped bar is surrounded by lounge and dining spaces that are both spacious and intimate. The menu features classic and newly imagined recipes, but Hy's favourites, like the famous Caesar salad and Steak Diane, are still prepared tableside. The extensive wine list, and delicious, hand crafted cocktails, promise something for every taste. Whether for lunch, dinner, or something in between, Hy's promises a timeless and memorable experience.     Most everything was fantastic. (Except the music was far too loud. We didn't come to dance, we came for a much softer evening of fun, laughter and discussion which was challenging to talk over the music.) A special kudos to the gals & guys at the front desk who went out of their way on a couple of occasions during the arrival and departure of all our guests. The cuisine, libations, and table service could not have been better. We will definitely see you again.

    Sarah, our server, was amazing, funny attentive and helped with choices. Hys has always been our favorite spot for lunches, dinners and special family occasions. Thanks Hys, Merry Christmas

    My wife and I had a wonderful anniversary dinner and evening spent at Hy's. Our server Pascal was fantastic from the get go as we took advantage his table-made service for not only our ceasar salad, but Steak Diane, and Bananas Foster. The food was amazing. A perfect evening. Thank you so much for a great night.

    The food was exceptional. We had their famous cheese toast, table side ceaser salad, black and blue ahi tuna, table side steak tartare, and beef wellington. We also tried three of the deserts: cheese cake, salted caramel creme brule, and the table side bananas foster... everything was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious! To top all of that, we had an incredible, charismatic and thoughtful waitress, Kim. She made what was already going to be an amazing Sunday dinner, even more amazing! I forget the gentleman's name that made our bananas foster, but he was top shelf as well.
