   Great service. Food was salty, sadly, not what were we’re expecting. Pizza dough was legit, but the toppings needed restraint. Martinis were a proper pour. Overall, ok. But too many choices in the OC to come back. Wish we loved it more.

   Came for a birthday dinner and wish the ambiance was better. Lights are very bright for dinner. Music wasn’t loud enough to drown out large party in the private dining room. Food was ok, could’ve been hotter upon presentation. Service, however, was on point.

   Great place!!! Service was very attentive and cordial. The food was great!! The ambiance is what you would expect from a warm neighborwood italian restaurant. We had the fish specials and were all exellent. Can't wait to go back and try the pizzas and bolognese!! I am glad that we found Barone!

   Off the charts AMAZING! What a GEM of a restaurant! This Sicilian family owned & operated Italian restaurant was the best Italian we have had! Food was 10 out of 10, we had 2 specials : FAMILY RECIPE - Braciola di manzo had flavors like we have never tasted in Italian cuisine and the parchment baked Bronzino with tomatoes, potatoes & olives was delicious! Family recipe garlic bread with delicious pesto dip was yummy! DELICIOUS bread pudding with a Carmel sauce and vanilla gelato!! Francisco and his staff were beyond THE BEST taking care of us! Started with an amazing Tuscan wine and talking us into his uncles cream Lemonchello and chocolate cream Lemonchello which was like nothing we have ever experienced! Can’t wait to go back! Top 10 for sure!!

   Ambience was perfect and quite able to have good conversations with friends. The food was amazing!  The Seabass on sautéed spinach was the best!! Huge portions I was stuffed but well worth it!

   The service was great and all the staff were terrific. Unfortunately, the food was not great and disappointing for the price. I had the sole special. The sole came folded in two (why I don't know). When I unfolded the sole and began to eat, it tasted just OK but was rubbery and about half of it was inedible. Not sure if they tried to cook it frozen or what, but cooking sole myself, this was not how sole should be prepared. The only thing good about the dish was the spinach on which the sole sat. The clams and mussels were just OK. With a really great staff, they need someone in the kitchen who can deliver to expectations. I tasted my table-mates dishes and they were OK. I have eaten at il Barone in their several previous locations and enjoyed it immensely. This was just disappointing and I'm sorry.

    Food amazing, service perfect and like you are in a home in Italy. Charming, warm, festive location . Could not have been better! From Donatella’s warm greeting to her parting holiday wishes for all, by far the best dining experience in recent memory. Can’t wait to go back! Faci to start is a must! !
