Chef Mario Marfia was born in Sicily, Italy and honed his craft working as a chef in the Mediterranean. He brings those culinary and cultural influences to El Paseo in Palm Desert, and the New Downtown of Palm Springs.
Il Corso restaurant offers genuine Italian hospitality serving a wonderful variety of traditional Italian dishes, fresh salads, homemade pastas, wood oven pizzas and delicious seafood. In addition to our regular menu, Chef Mario prepares nightly specials from all over Italy like “the world’s best gnocchi,” and our house specialty, roasted leg of veal. Start your meal off with an Italian style inspired cocktail and remember to save room for all of your favorite Italian homemade desserts to complement your dinning experience.

    We ate outside and the temperature was perfect. The fireplace was a great touch! These servers were all terrific...as was the food!! I highly recommend it

    Hubby's lasagne was excellent. The sauce on my lobster pasta was a bit thin and under seasoned. The panna cotta was overset and did not have the classic "wobble" of a good panna cotta. It tasted good. Service was very good and we enjoyed the meal.

    The food was really good, but even with indoor reservations we were still seated outside. The hostess set the stage for the dinner to have a negative feeling.

    The food we ordered as a four was great. Very flavorful and delicious. The service was excellent, friendly staff and waiters. Plan on going back again

    If you like Italian food this is the place in Palm Springs. The service is great. But the place is like being in the wine country in Northern California. But everyone from the hostess to waiters and busboys. They all make you feel welcome. It’s not crazy expensive and the entrees are very generous.

    Great ambiance. Quiet - not booming, deafeningly loud like many restaurants these days. We could hold a quite conversation during a very pleasant meal. Excellent wine list with affordable selections. Food was really good and reasonably priced for this quality. Service was fine, but a bit uneven toward the end.
