   As usual Il Fornaio was outstanding! My friend and I were celebrating both of our birthdays and the food was delicious, service was great, and overall just a great place for our lunch.

   We had reservations for dinner and we got there early and they got us right in and seated. We ordered cocktails and an appetizer. The appetizer came out extremely quick, before our cocktails. The waitress stop by and asked if we were ready to order and we said, give us just a minute And she never came back, finally the manager walked by and asked if everything was OK and I said yes but we’d like to order. Can you get our waitress and she told me that she’d take our order. Still never saw our waitress. They brought our food And the waitress came running over with grated Parmesan cheese and then left. We were never asked after that if everything was OK or if we wanted another drink or if we wanted dessert. I finally went up to the hostess station and asked if I could pay my check because our waitress never did come back. While he was ringing me up, the manager came by and when I told her the service was horrible she said yeah I kind of noticed that which made me wonder why she didn’t do something about it. She did count me for the two cocktails we did have which was nice, but I don’t mind paying for what I get, but the service was absolutely horrible.

   Braised short rib raviolis were pretty good. The cream sauce was bland The service was amazing

   Salmon dish was extraordinary! Sausage and mushroom pizza was okay, but had very little sausage on it. Lasagna was good. Very pleasant ambiance for a Sunday afternoon lunch.

   I was disappointed to find that there was an extremely large and extremely loud group of partyers taking up one whole side of the restaurant. It was absolutely impossible to carry on a conversation.

   Food was above average. Service wasca little spotty. We asked for butter fir our bread but tge wait staff still brought olive oil and vinegar instead. They didnt rush us though.

    Lunch crowd was not large so dining area noise level was very low, which was very nice. Started with calamari fritti that was superb as usual; light and tender and wonderful marinara sauce. My friend had risotto and I had lasagna , which were very good. Definitely a repeat customer.
