Always wanted to try this restaurant, glad I did. Food was excellent. Because it was Mother’s Day, service was a bit rushed and the seating options were not the best. However, we still had a very enjoyable evening and look forward to returning when it’s not a holiday.

Would have preferred not being so close to two families with whining kids when most of the restaurant was empty at that hour would appreciated a bit more privacy. Barely seen our waiter and first time I had to request a menu after being seated. Food was overall good

Il Toscano never fails to impress. We had a family medical issue and were forced to take our (delicious) food to go. The waitstaff could not have been more discreet or accommodating. Best Leftovers Ever!

we have been here several times recently -- reservations are always honored in terms of time, location and table preference. prices are slightly higher for comparable dishes, but the overall milieu and service make it worth while.

Food was delicious. I will say it was a limited standard menu, complimented by an array of specials, but everything offered was delicious. Not a red sauce place, but the lasagna on the standard menu is phenomenal.

Il Toscano has been on my family’s go to list for more than 4 decades. Thank you, Alex, for the consistently wonderful welcome and service. We enjoyed the Arctic Char, Linguine con Vongole (my favorite), and the Tiramisu. Special thanks to Arturo this evening.

First time here since end of Covid when tables were spaced and occupancy at 50%. Thought we would dine here again as it's 10 mins from home. I am a fish and veal eater only, no pasta for me and nothing with garlic. I ordered the branzino. Received 2 very small pieces, equal amounts skin and fish. Side veggies were diced and looked canned. My hubby's pasta bolognese he said was good but nothing really stood out. We sat upstairs which was fine. But restaurant needs a major renovation especially for these prices. Paneled walls, orange tiles and an unfinished plank of wood served as the table next to us. When we left it was packed downstairs with diners jammed in sardines. Very steep stairs and no elevator. I feel very sorry for the servers having to go up and down carrying all those plates. I compare this to Stella's in Floral Park and Giulio Cesare in Woodbury, food good but so very dated. I prefer dining at a pretty well spaced restaurant for the same money -- namely West End Cafe, Cafe Testarossa and Sotto Luna.
