   This was my second time at this location, the first time was wondering. This time however was a completely different, our server just seemed like we were inconveniencing him by just existing, he never checked to make sure we were ok, never offered us drink refills, and took my salad without asking if I was done eating it, not to mention he never smiled and just looked super miserable. I never leave reviews like this but when I’m paying for a service, I at least expect decent service. The food was pretty good, not sure if our burgers were sitting around for a bit because they were barely warm but other than that the salad, fries, and cheesesteak eggs rolls were good. I’d be hesitant to try to place again, kinda disappointed.

   We were visiting Center City for a few days to see family and the Mummers parade. We were looking for a casual atmosphere for a New Year's Eve dinner. When I searcehd Open Table I found Iron Hill, and my husband said "You had me at Brewery". He love to try new beers, and I do not care for beer, but the wine selection was perfect. When we looked at the menu, he was very excited to see the crab cakes - I was struggling between the steak and the steak frites, and decided on the frites. OOOPS! They had been super busy with the holiday and ran out of steak. Our server was very apologoetic and offered plenty of time to re-visit the menu. Quick pivot, asking her for a suggestion between salmon and the scallops/risotto special. She said she had not had the current scallops special, but always enjoys whatever it is. I opted to try it...WOW, the scallops where perfect and the pumpkin risotto was spectacular. My husband loved the crabcakes (I sampled those too...outstanding!) We arrived a few minutes early for our 7:30pm reservation, and were seated promptly at 7:30pm. We were given a table by the window, which was wonderful as we were visiting Philadelphia for the first time in 15 years, so it was fun to observe the NYE hustle that everyone was experiencing in the rain. Service was great...we each enjoyed 2 drinks, and passed on dessert as the meals were plenty large. It was lively, but not loud. Overall, we enjoyed the eveing very much and look forward to returning soon.

   We sat for 45 minutes after ordering our lunch. With little kids in our party, waiting that long is inexcusable. When our food arrived it was cold. I asked to speak to the Manager and although he took some $$ off our bill, his attitude was less than stellar. It was almost as if he didn’t care. Other patrons also had the same issue. Your problem is your kitchen. They were slow and left your Waitstaff making excuses for their poor execution. As a King of the Hill member, and always having decent experiences at your other locations, your Center City location needs a lot of work. We won’t be going back.

   I only wish for 2 things: 1. That food is brought out hot. If with fries, then also with ketsup. On a few occasions I’ve had to wait for this condiment to appear only after I ate the fries, or when they were cold and inedible. -Too little, too late. 2. Put enough alcohol in the mixed drinks. The last time I was there, the drinks were severely watered down. Perhaps the practice of thinning out the liquor is taking place, but our drinks were definitely not worth drinking.

   Was a good visit, our table was ready and we were seated promptly at the table we requested. Our sever was very prompt, friendly and helpful with our orders and drinks.. She did a very fine job caring for us - but had her challenges with the kitchen.. Several things we ordered were out and she was not made aware, and a couple of the alternatives were out as well.. Things beyond her control Things we did finally get were fine and prepared well.. Wil probably give them another chance next time we're in town.. As we said the 3 of us all thought the server did fine despite the challenges and frustration with the kitchen. Deb and Bill Schmidt, Wmsburg Va.

   We were about 10 minutes early for our reservation and waited for a table. There seemed to be a lot of people waiting for tables but it went quickly and the hostess was very nice. Our food came quickly, but we had to wait for our second round of drinks as the place became busier.
