Both steaks were way overcooked. I kept my prime ribeye ($80) and my son sent his back. It took 20 minutes for the replacement. It was rare and had to send it back another 10 minutes. I order mine medium and it was well done no pink. For a $250 meal the shrimp cocktail was great…….

Lesson learned to not order chicken in a steakhouse. Despite it being Springer Mountain, was dry and overcooked. Inside service was great! Valet service was struggling.

We were seated promptly, even though we arrived about 10 minutes early—always a nice start. However, it took around 10 minutes before our server greeted us, which felt a bit long given how quiet the restaurant was at the time. Once he arrived, our server took our drink orders and gave a basic overview of the menu. We ordered salads to start, followed by the dry-aged ribeye, a filet, garlic whipped potatoes, and bourbon mushrooms. The salads were serviceable but unremarkable—rough-chopped greens and somewhat uninspired presentation. The dressings were fine but lacked depth or any standout flavor. The Caesar in particular didn’t seem to feature true Parmigiano Reggiano or, if it did, it hadn’t been properly aged, as it was missing the characteristic crystals and complexity. That said, the house-made croutons were a highlight—nicely browned and flavorful. The steaks were cooked well: the ribeye was properly rendered and the filet arrived at the requested temperature. Unfortunately, the sides were inconsistent. The garlic whipped potatoes were disappointing—light on fat, under-seasoned, and served with a roasted garlic clove and a demi-glace that felt more like an afterthought than a deliberate pairing. The bourbon mushrooms, meanwhile, were aggressively over-salted to the point that no other flavor came through; it genuinely tasted as if they’d been brined in salt water all day. Service throughout the meal was lackluster. Our server was slow to return with drinks from the bar and rarely checked in after the food arrived. While the proteins were solid, the lack of attention to detail on the sides, coupled with inattentive service, made the overall experience feel like poor value for the price point. We expected more given the menu and ambiance.

I don’t know that you can call it valet parking if we have to get out in the street and walk. Management needs to find a solution to the parking issues! Or maybe don’t hold events if you can’t accommodate parking and people with reservations. Steak was good but we’ve had better there.

Service is always fantastic and Chris is an exceptional as a server, advisor and ambassador for JMichaels. Food and beverage of the first class quality. Looking forward to my next visit!

I tried this restaurant with my family for a belated Mother’s Day dinner and it did not disappoint. I live in the area and didn’t even realize this place existed. Classic steakhouse with prime, dry and wet, aged beef, exceptional seafood, and the service was first class. Had an early dinner. It gets very very busy and can be hard to get in. Make a reservation and they will take great care of you!
