Lovely dinner with good friends! Excellent service and wonderful food…Between the 4 of us we had 3 different salads, the pork chop, the salmon, and the burger (love the bacon jam on the burger)! It is always a treat to dine here!

We had a terrific time. Food was delicious and Danielle’s service was perfect. Had what I think is the best 4 top table available. Just next to what used to be the front door. Great time.

Iconic Louisville restaurant. We had spicy oysters and escargot to start; both were fabulous. Husband had the filet which was perfectly seasoned with salt and pepper and cooked exactly medium. Our other entree was the beef short rib which had a wonderful bourbon molasses (?) glaze and was fork tender over goat cheese mashed potatoes. Both entrees delicious. The only thing I would suggest is to work on the veggies. My broccolini was tough and unseasoned, husband's asparagus woody and tough. Asparagus is not in season. I would suggest a roasted carrot compote with honey, butter, and a little curry. Fried apples with a touch of Calvados would go great with the pork . A sweet potato puree with eggs sugar and streusel topping bakes up as a mousse. Just some suggestions. Veggies can be done weekly and kept cold in the walk-in. Could even let guests choose which they would prefer with their entree but that may require a menu reprint. Overall, a very enjoyable meal. Thanks to the bartender for putting alcohol in our cocktails!

A classic restaurant, but there is always the off night. A bustling night in the restaurant. it took a while (15-20 minutes?) to get seated (reservation for 3). Good booth (next to the piano, which was quieter than a lot of the space thanks to the plexi dividers), and the service was on point . . . except for the long gaps. Excellent drinks, great appetizers (escargots, brie salad, and spicy fried oysters ). . . then a loooong wait. Watching as they staged for a couple of very large (loud) tables. Then a little more good service to check in. Another wait. Entrees came; great lamb chops, good short ribs, and a flavorless dry cobia filet with two sad shrimp. Nice wines, but pretty sure they weren't the same both times we ordered. Coffee and a little birthday dessert, then home (2+hours later). I want to emphasize that every person we interacted with, from the host to the manager to the entire table staff, they were great. But things just didn't connect that night. There were two tables of 10-12 that really seemed to suck up the energy and attention, and the timing just went sideways. I love Jack Fry's. But . . . they were clearly overwhelmed.
