Jeffrey's Restaurant & Bar has been an Austin fine dining institution since 1975. In 2012 the restaurant closed for a major renovation and was reopened by McGuire Moorman Lambert Hospitality. The legendary restaurant, nestled in the Clarksville neighborhood just west of downtown, features a lively bar and three distinct dining rooms. The menus, from executive chef Mark McCain, features dry-aged prime steaks, updated classic fine dining, and locally sourced produce. The award-winning wine list, one of the largest and most diverse in Texas, features highly-sought after vintages from Old and New World producers. Private dining in the Napoleon Room and The Apartment is available for special events. Valet service is offered.

The charming neighborhood location, old world service & multiple private dining options make Jeffrey's a true Austin gem. Jeffrey's was named “Top 10 Best New Restaurants” in the country by Bon Appetit magazine in 2013.

    Everything was top notch! Can’t recommend enough the chocolate soufflé. Sunday’s are half off a wine bottle. Great deal!

    Jeffrey’s never misses a beat! High quality ingredients and well thought out menu. My steak was excellent as was the dover sole. Sundays half price bottle of wine a nice touch! Colin our server was great. We never had an empty wine glass! One of our favorites when we travel to Austin!

    Brought my bf here for Xmas dinner He enjoyed his sirloin I don't eat red meat, got the snapper extremely small portion for 56 bucks. They bought it out in a paper machete soupy mess. The sides are "family style" but are enough for one person. Chocolate souffle was good and overall the staff was great As far as food I was disappointed and still hungry lol

    One of a kind experience! It’s an institution with amazing talents. From culinary to service , everything was we ever wanted it!     Unbelievable. Every moment was special and every flavor built upon the last. Having celiac, they made the experience seamless and I felt perfect after. Very full and perfect. Loved the deviled eggs, beef tartare, lobster bisque, Caesar, wagyu filet, the chocolate dessert, and the crème brûlée 🍮 Thank you for impeccable service and care.

    Great food and wine selection . Service very slow and we had to keep asking for bread and our salad that was ready in the kitchen but never delivered . Anyway worth the experience of a very good restaurant .

    We frequent Jeffrey’s and always enjoy the experience whether for an event or just the two of us. This time, in an effort to be more conscious of what I put in my body, I asked about the use of seed oil and was informed the salad dressings, including Caesar, contained canola oil. I was surprised that such a high end kitchen would use such a cheap industrial oil. I expected to hear all about the beautiful olive oil that is specially sourced. Disappointing and perhaps indicative of other ingredients?

    The cocktails and food were excellent and the service at Jeffrey’s is second to none in Austin. The scallops, and lobster bisque were exceptional. However, the NY strip I ordered was disappointing. The steak had little to no salt and there was a large knot running through the whole length of the steak making 1/3 of the cut impossible to chew. My wife ordered the filet and it was significantly better.
