The dish of the day, filet mignon, had an unpleasantly strong smell. We ordered a medium-rare T-bone and filet mignon, but both dishes arrived cold. When we brought this to the staff’s attention, they took them back to reheat, but they returned completely overcooked and well-done. The staff didn’t seem very receptive to feedback, so we decided not to push further. After paying the bill, we mentioned that last year’s dinner had been significantly better. Overall, it was a disappointing experience compared to previous visits.

I traveled solo to Montreal for my birthday, and Joe Beef was on my “must go” list. The staff was wonderful and so helpful in helping me decide what to order. The food was incredible. The cocktail I ordered was incredible. It was the perfect spot for a special occasion dinner, and I have a feeling I will be back next time I’m in Montreal.
