Joe’s Crab Shack offers a variety of favorites from all parts of the sea and shore. From its extensive menu, guests can choose from buckets of seasonal seafood, fried shrimp platters and fish dishes, as well as options from the “mainland” that include steak, sandwiches, and chicken. Guests can indulge in over-sized and creative cocktails, such as the Shark Bite which is playfully garnished with a shark toy. Since its inception, Joe’s popularity has stemmed not only from its menu, but also its retail store. The noise was overbearing, restaurant was too cold with constantly blowing cold air from many vents throughout the restaurant, making the venue very uncomfortable. Added to that is the indifferent service and the poor quality of the fried food. The fries seemed like they’ve been sitting for awhile and are gummy. The tartar sauce was less than tasty. Just not a pleasant experience. Not going back!

We had outstanding seats at the second-level windows to watch the Day of The Dead River Parade. Cesia provided excellent service in spite of the crowded tables. We had the Duo Dip which included bowls of the Crab & Shrimp and Spinach & Artichoke Dips served with tortilla chips. A good sampler and large potion size.

The grilled shrimp on my salad was way overcooked and the crab and shrimp dip was over salted/seasoned. Had a cocktail that was so sweet I couldn't even finish it. Service was good, but overall, would not recommend this restaurant - there are way better options for dining along the Riverwalk!

A fun evening. We sat at the railing on the Riverwalk and watched the passers-by and the barges. A leisurely dinner with appetizer and drinks. Truly enjoyable.

Got to the restaurant in time and got seated very quickly and our server was very polite and fast customer service. Food was delicious and the music was not too loud. The price we paid was not bad at all for what we ate.

The food and service was good but the noise level was so loud you couldn't talk to anyone and my entree was the wrong menu item because it was so loud the server could not here me.

Food took forever to come out! Restaurant was so hot! Everything tasted so fishy and shrimp was slimy! This was an awful birthday dinner! The prices are ridiculous for what you get. We won’t be going back ever!

Unfortunately I ordered the spicy crab boil combo. But no spicy flavor at all. We were pressed for time or would have returned. Otherwise hubby loved his fish n chips. Margaritas were just okay.
