    Holiday Brunch… nice but ordinary buffet: breakfast foods, seafood and fruit, small salad bar, omelet and smoothie stations. No carved meats, cheeses, desserts and no holiday-themed foods at all - a bit disappointing for a meal styled as a “Holiday Brunch” and costing $95/person. But at least the ambience is pretty and service good. Maybe the $145 “Holiday Dinner” is better…

    Overall good visit. They need staff to check restocking levels of things. Any time I needed a new plate, utensil or cup at a station it was empty and I had to ask and it always took forever. Oysters were not replenished unless requested…i had to ask 3 times which was annoying and took forever. If I sat down I ran the risk of someone else getting to them when they put them out as they only put a small amount out each time so it was really annoying. Do better.

    I had the pleasure of dining at Joni Restaurant yesterday for a Christmas dinner with my son, and it was truly a memorable experience. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The service was impeccable, with the staff being attentive, warm, and professional. The chef’s menu was outstanding, featuring creative dishes that were both beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and festive, but I couldn't help but feel that a touch of Christmas music—perhaps soft background tunes or even a live band or singer—would have elevated the holiday spirit even further. It was the only element missing from an otherwise perfect evening. Thank you to the entire team at Joni Restaurant for making our Christmas dinner special. We will definitely be back

    Our meals were disappointing. Bland and unidentifiable compared to the menu description. Ambiance was nice and service was ok. Doesn’t compare to the Park Hyatt in NYC sadly.

    Despite multiple assurances that the tasting menu was (could be) gluten free, I was served a dish with “red fife grains” aka WHEAT. I asked the server to check with the chef and they said they were sure it was GF but would ask. Lo and behold it was not GF. I’m left wondering what else wasn’t GF. Guess I’ll know in the next few hours. Overall a mushy, forgettable meal. Chef is big on foam.

    Outstanding as always! Joni never fails to impress with its exceptional customer service, exquisite cuisine, and stunning decor. The atmosphere is elegant and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. While the music performance could be improved to better complement the ambiance, it didn’t detract from the overall enjoyment. Joni remains one of my favorite restaurants in Toronto, offering an absolutely beautiful experience every time. Looking forward to returning soon!

    I loved the live music and ambience of the restaurant, it definitely had a lobby bar feel. The food was well plated and delicious. The staff were friendly and pleasant, but there were not enough of them.

    Great food and great atmosphere. The restaurant has a nice noise level. That’s not too loud and makes it easy to enjoy your meal with your company.
