    Was expecting a good meal for $180. The decor was sub par for what you expect on Carmel restaurants. Looked like they hit up home goods for decor. The noise levels were too noisy to extent we had to lean in to hear ourselves and waitress speak. The lag time between ordering and the courses was extremely long. The food was bland in taste. The pasta was too much texture and just tasted off. Save your money. So many more choices in Carmel for that price point.

    Wric was fun, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the restaurant. Coq Au Vin, the duck special, beets, pommes frites and wine/cocktails were all good. And prices are reasonable. One thought- the coq au vin was on the bone and little sauce- the traditional way would be better.

    We were a little late for our reservation, so i called and was assured our table would be waiting. Cocktails started the evening off, has a nice selection of grower champagnes. the Snail and Date appetizers were good. The salad was exceptional. The Duck special was good. However the Steak Frites was exceptional, the filet was a very nice filet cooked to perfection!

    Great place to go any time! I am enjoying the ever-expanding menu, and some of the very French special dishes featured from time to time. Super staff. Love the inside parking available. Lots of special surprises make it an extra fun evening. Great for couples, families, or business.

    My meal at Josephine’s was extraordinary. I had heard of Josephine’s through word of mouth and had planned to meet up with friends there. Their plans changed and I decided to go alone. I do not regret it! The service was high level and the food felt special. The amuse-bouche could easily be added to the menu and sell out every night. As soon as the French onion soup was placed before me I knew it was going to be soul satisfying. My entree was one of their specials for the night. I can’t spell the French name it but it was a seafood stew with shrimp and clams with a perfectly charred piece of bread to soak up the sauce. After having fun with the waitstaff and chefs who were circulating efficiently with the right amount of banter, when one tells you in jest the chocolate pot de crème dessert is as deep and dark as his soul how do you not order it? I know I’ll be back, highly recommend!

    We were a party of 4 last night at Josephine's. We had an outstanding experience. The waiter was very knowledgeable and guided some of our selections. Everyone in our party was thoroughly satisfied. For special treats, be sure to order the bacon wrapped dates and the onion soup. which is gluten-free! The salmon is outstanding--very moist and flavorful. Wines by the glass are a bit pricey, which is our only less than stellar observation. We will be back!
