    We celebrated our 52nd anniversary! They went out of their way to make us feel special and celebrated. Foot and service were fabulous! Loved the personal attention from our waiter and the chef!

    What an excellent addition to the Carmel culinary scene! French cuisine is all about the sauces and Josephine makes the most of them! Our party of five shared three appetizers: traditional escargot was probably the least impressive dish we had. You get five in a dish with six spots, and we felt there could have been more buttery sauce to at least cover the snail. The vin et fromage was a delight with delicate pastry puffs, honey, nuts and braised grapes. The baguette with truffle butter was rich and chewy. We had the pork, the pasta, the steak frites, and bouillabaisse. All were perfect in their own way! The bouillabaisse was absolutely next level with an amazing white wine cream sauce. I will definitely be back and order it again! It was a birthday dinner so we got a complimentary pot au Creme that was so rich and chocolaty . We also got the creme brûlée which was the smoothest and creamiest and had a cherry topping that added a tartness to the sweet sugar for a blend of flavors that exploded on the palette. In short, there are a lot of fine dining places in Carmel. Josephine finally brings French cuisine that Escoffier would be proud of! Highly recommend!

    Absolutely excellent! Fantastic food and ambiance. Calm/romantic/relaxing French music to fit the theme was the perfect addition and made us want to linger and order more. Not too loud. Not too quiet. Our group forgot we were in Indiana for the evening and had the best time.

    It was a fine restaurant. The menu was ok in my opinion, I think I would prefer some of the other restaurants in Carmel instead. But everyone has a different preference for taste. Really nice inside area.

    Amazing experience for Mother’s Day brunch! It was our first time at Josephine and it did not disappoint! The food was incredible and service was fantastic! Would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back for dinner!

    Great experience. First time coming here and brought Mom for Mothers day. Food was great and not over priced. Great service. Loved the small French touches they put into everything (appetizer and dessert were free and brought to table while deciding and after entrees were finished). Highly recommend. Definitely coming back.

    We had a delightful, decadent evening at Josephine. The JG&T and cornichon martini will warm a gin lover’s heart and soul. A romantic candle, lit with ever so care, melted into an aromatic tallow sauce; baguette accoutrement included in the dance. After thoroughly sauced from different angles, we ate lobster bisque and steak tartare. Pasta and bouillabaisse rounded out the dinner. We tucked away half of our entrees for tomorrow to leave room for the pot de creme. Dylan and Carlos are excellent bartenders, giving lovely banter and hospitality. Chef’s kiss. 💋

    Everything was just wonderful! Beautiful spot. Very nice staff. The drinks were beautiful and the food was amazing. My husband had the bacon wrapped dates and skirt steak. I had a salad and salmon. You can tell the chefs enjoy cooking. Highly recommend.
