    Feb 11, 2025 - May 13, 2025
Come experience the magic of authentic Mexican dishes during the last three days of this limited-time-pop-up restaurant led by Junction staff cook, Chef Diego. Mexico Ancestral will be open for dinner Tuesday, April 29, May 6 and May 13. The menu represents a style of Mexican cooking that incorporates the meticulous preparation and refined techniques of haute cuisine with traditional Mexican ingredients and flavors. The dishes are flavorful but not spicy; but for those that like it hot, ask for the house salsa.

So glad to have stumbled upon this little gem! Absolutely fantastic food, and a very relaxed and quiet atmosphere. The entire staff was very friendly, always smiling, and looking like they all loved what they were doing. I find that very imoportant. It was a fairly chilly evening, so we were sitting in the cozy dining room, but for a warm summer night, there's about a dozen tables on their back patio. Will DEFINITELY stop here again, the next time I'm in the area.

This place was incredible! The empanadas were excellent, especially the chicken, the seafood paella was excellent and the lamb lollipops were out of this world. Owners Ingrid and Nick were super nice. Can’t wait to go back next time we are in Paso.

Been here before. I really want to like this place, food is excellent, atmosphere is cozy but the service is just not there. And it's the entire experience that counts. The place was 1/2 full on a Saturday. our waitress was very nice but that doesn't really matter when you: Have to walk up to the bar to ask for more water, ask for salt and pebber and buy an additional bottle wine (I thought they made good money on wine). No matter how good the food is, it ruins the experience when you have to look for the waitress and finally give up and walk up to the bar. Although it isn't busy, you should till check in with your guests regularly before chatting with your colleagues at behind the bar. Customers come first....

Food was very good with excellent flavors. However the weak service (serving two dishes prior to bringing out the wine was only one of several misses). Would not recommend at the current prices until the service issues are resolved.

Had another good night at Junction. Appetizers included the Pulpo, Bravas, Empanadas and all were very good. Nice bottle of Alberino. Server seemed to be a little distracted, wasn't great. Value good for a restaurant in California wine country.
